Donald Trump is melting down. The Donald is decaying, shrinking and fading before the eyes of the American people, and the great crack-up is just starting. The MAGA sheaths have been unbuttoned, and hands are on the proverbial knives looking for backs to stab. Among the oddities of human nature is that for some people, when common sense says run, they draw closer to what they should be fleeing. While the Trump ship sinks, his most committed sycophants will do anything to be his Jack, committed to the very end. They will strike at each other like vipers to have the primo seat to look their beautiful Rose in the eye as the waters come.
God, it’s f@#%ing beautiful.
Looking back, the Tim Alberta masterpiece about the Trump campaign at its pinnacle, before the fall, cements in place a faded moment in time when Trump was winning and measuring the drapes. It’s all gone now, and here comes the blame-gaming, which fascists do more viciously than anyone. It looks like the dreams of civil war for all of us are up in smoke and the MAGA cult will have to be satisfied with a shrinking theater of conflict that will never be bigger than MAGA. It will finish up on the Mar-a-Lago patio when a decrepit man regales the last disciples with stories about Omarosa and the stolen election.
The story about Trump’s made-up helicopter crash landing is exquisite. It’s completely false, but opens the door to the question about whether Trump is lying or delusional. It would be good to have certainty around this.
Incredibly, in the aftermath of his disastrous news conference, he called the woman he refers to as “like my psychiatrist,” Maggie Haberman of The New York Times, the most ethically challenged reporter on the Trump beat, who would never have been allowed to cover Trump if the newspaper had not immolated its standards and reputation over recent years. Her story detailing the conversation — in which she refers to herself as “a New York Times reporter” — is a perfect illustration of why so many Americans disdain the media, and why trust between news organizations and ordinary Americans has mostly disappeared.
Trump is shattered because he is an intuitive beast with a high level of native cunning. He knows a star when he sees one, and he knows that Vice President Kamala Harris is headed for the chair behind the Resolute desk. He will be defeated by a Black woman who is smarter, tougher, more disciplined, more competent and a better human being. His ego and tainted racist heart will not be able to bear the humiliation that is long overdue. It will make him increasingly angry, unhinged and unstable. Dangerous days lie ahead. They should not be discounted.
Trump is saddled with the biggest freak show and most epic weirdo of all time as his VP pick, thanks to Don Jr. and Eric. Uday and Qusay have proven that they are dumb as rocks, and know JD Vance is a permanent tattoo proving the point. I know one thing: Trump will never take his eyes off of JD Vance when he is sitting on the Trump plane. I wouldn’t either. He is a most peculiar man.
Are you registered to vote?
The Warning community member Tom Howard made an excellent suggestion that I use this platform to remind people to ensure that they are registered to vote in November. This is EXTREMELY important. Thanks to community member Joan Eisenstodt for sharing these links for people to check their status, dates by which they must register if they have moved, and to confirm they are eligible to and can vote, as well as any rule changes made by legislatures:

PLUS: This past week’s commentaries
If you didn’t get a chance to read and/or watch my commentaries from the past week, here are some of them:
Haberman is the NYT’s new Judith Miller. Two ambitious journalists who sold their souls for fifteen minutes of fame. What’s worse is the NYT’s headlines whenever they discuss Trump’s lies; always giving him the benefit of the doubt.
And now the press is flabbergasted as to why Harris won’t give them interviews. After the way they treated Biden about his Cognitive decline, yet they never question Trump’s sanity is literally journalistic malpractice.
As far as Trump’s phantom helicopter ride? Apparently, it was a trip from NYC to Atlantic City and the passenger was a black councilmen from LA, Nate Holden; not Willie or Gerry Brown. And Harris wasn’t discussed.
And from the Councilman Holden’s memory, it was Trump who was scared shitless. So much for the Mr. bone spurs being the heroic savior who is everyone’s retribution!….:)
"He will be defeated by a Black woman who is smarter, tougher, more disciplined, more competent and a better human being." It will kill Trump to lose to an attractive, brilliant, super successful black woman, 20 years his junior, who went to public school and brilliantly worked her up, to her black job as President of the United States of America.
