32:30 Yeah I was optimistic too on Election Day 2020 that Biden would win overwhelmingly with some wave of the Silent Majority. The next morning I was absolutely depressed. Trump voter at my office asked why, Biden was going to win after the mail-in votes were counted (haha, he had no idea). I said BECAUSE it shouldn't be anywhere near competitive. And this closeness just adds MORE legitimacy to the fascism movement. And so this movement would continue and get stronger. I wish I had been wrong.

The future of our country and the world will hang on whether or not Trump's prominent GOP supporters, politicians who acted like normal Republicans before Trump took over the party, will continue to support him if he loses this election. I believe they will finally act on what Graham said right after the insurrection, “I think it’s a uniquely bad idea to delay this election. Trump and I, we had a hell of a journey. I hate it being this way. I hate it being this way. All I can say is count me out. Enough is enough.”

If Trump wins, American voters will have destroyed our future and the world's with it.

For the 30 years I remember, whenever he strays toward having a conscience, Lindsey Graham has always scampered back to his dog house the minute the shock collar of being primaried activates. I cannot remember a more duplicitous and cynical major national politician in my life, and I'm old.

One more quote from the same article, that underscores how strongly Graham felt in the immediate aftermath of 1/6:

“I don’t buy this. Enough’s enough. We’ve got to end it,” Graham continued. “Vice President Pence, what they are asking you to do you won’t do because you can’t ... If you’re a conservative, this is the most offensive concept in the world, that a single person could disenfranchise 155 million people.”

He reversed himself and renewed his blind loyalty to Trump, as did so many others in his party, shortly after these strong statements. I don't think they have the stomach to do it again.

I’m amazed that anybody expected George W to step up. He’s had no public life since he left office. He’s comfy in his gated community. He’s best forgotten.

Moths like Graham are always attracted to the flame 🔥 So it is. So it always has been.

As for the future under a Trump presidency- prepare for the nearest thing to the Apocalypse. Here and abroad. Darkness, indeed, is coming.

This is off-topic, but I am curious as to what your opinion is regarding subscribers of the Washington Post. I canceled my subscription after the decision to not endorse Harris. I felt like it was the only principal stand to take, but I realize that who suffers will be the excellent journalist at the Post, not Jeff Bezos. What is your opinion on what subscribers should do? By the way, I’m in Southern California and I also canceled my Los Angeles. Time subscription. Thank you for your continued. Excellent commentary. (talk to text, please excuse typos.)
