Reading Steve's post and listening to his discussion with Pakman brought two important considerations to mind.
In campaigning Democrats should continuously reference the naked ambition of , "Kristi Noem, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Matt Gaetz and a thousand others." These are people who put personal ambition above patriotism, people who worshiped a false idol fully aware of how dangerous he is. We must not only defeat the "Chosen One," but give the Harris/ Walz administration a solid majority in Congress so that we can begin to undo the damage that has been done to our judicial system and values by the Trump administration. The contrast between Biden's selflessness and Trump's all-consuming ego should be always up front in Democratic campaigning at all levels.
Secondly, as Steve said, we need to constantly remind Americans of the ludicrous people Trump surrounds himself with. Talk about how crazy they are: Mike Flynn, Mike Lindell, Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell et. al.

Last night speeches by Emhoff and Michelle and Barack Obama were uplifting, exhilarating and demonstrated to those who watched what leadership, honesty and love of country is and should be all about. These speakers gave me hope for what the future holds for America in a Harris/Walz White House team. Steve, thank you for speaking eloquently about the potential WH team and I hope that your enthusiasm will be contagious.
Even before they spoke, the roll call moved me to tears: 60 years ago, I then a teen, watched as Mississippi's Fannie Lou Hamer, a woman who sacrificed so much and was a force, made a case for being a Dem delegate from her home state. In 2024, Mississippi's delegates, from the camera angle, appeared to be majority Black. Things haven't changed enough. THIS tho' was the most moving moment for me.
How ironic that the Traitor/Rapist/Fraudster/34X felon was in Michigan standing before cops and gave his usual listless lies about the 2020 election being stolen while VP Harris was filling two arenas to the max!!!
I'm Canadian. I can't vote, I can't donate, and I cannot phone bank for anyone in the November elections. But I have found myself glued to the TV and the DNC speeches, finding in them something I had thought was lost - American reason, passion, dignity, and decency. Please, dear neighbours, put away that leaf blower and be yourselves again. We know you can do it!

What a delightful example of pure love and respect. Next came Michelle Obama who roused me to yell and cheer and clap when at home by myself. Finally, listening to Barack Obama reminded me of my very favorite presidency … the years of “No Drama Obama!” I do not want to go back! Let’s all pitch in and win this thing. Listened to this interview in its entirety. I was particularly struck by Steve's physics analogy, comparing the shrinking of the MAGA party to that of a dwarf star, becoming increasingly hotter, and his prediction that Trump's iron-fisted control of the party will continue even following a defeat.

They were as different as the dark of night, and the light of day!
LOVE: Tammy Duckworth's love for her daughters! How dare anyone deny a person's right to have a child, because you are unable to do it "naturally"! What hippocrates the MAGAs are, when they yell "right to life"! Shame on you J. D. Vance! Shame on them all! You are the ones preventing couples from having healthy families! Your anti-abortion laws are criminalizing women, and putting women, in jeopardy of their lives! You are the ones denying families of the dream of a better life in America! That is NOT "right to life", nor "respect life"! That is NOT "Christian"! Shame, shame, shame!
LOVE and respect, for former POTUS's, Jimmy Carter and JFK! How great it was to invite their grandsons to speak!

I can see their children getting together and supporting each other, because they are in unique club of their own!
