My son and I participated in the Iowa caucus for the Republicans Monday night. We registered as Republicans awhile ago so we could participate there, but we both lean way to the left. Trump got about as many votes as the average for the state, but it wasn't a very big crowd compared to the Democrat caucuses we have both participated at in the past. The Trumptards were very vocal about their man in the speeches before the precincts broke out to vote. But the thing I noticed about these speeches was how much resentment was hanging in the air from the half of the participants who DIDN'T support Trump. It was very palpable and there were catcalls when the Trumptards went on past the 3 minutes they were given to speak. Participants who spoke for their candidates or spoke against Trump were very noticeable. All in all, I took this as a good sign that there might be hope that this shit show may be coming to an end. At least that's what I hope.

My son and I participated in the Iowa caucus for the Republicans Monday night. We registered as Republicans awhile ago so we could participate there, but we both lean way to the left. Trump got about as many votes as the average for the state, but it wasn't a very big crowd compared to the Democrat caucuses we have both participated at in the past. The Trumptards were very vocal about their man in the speeches before the precincts broke out to vote. But the thing I noticed about these speeches was how much resentment was hanging in the air from the half of the participants who DIDN'T support Trump. It was very palpable and there were catcalls when the Trumptards went on past the 3 minutes they were given to speak. Participants who spoke for their candidates or spoke against Trump were very noticeable. All in all, I took this as a good sign that there might be hope that this shit show may be coming to an end. At least that's what I hope.
