He’s got one thing right, the threat from within is greater than the one outside. What he’s got wrong is that it is he and his cult followers that are that threat from within. I agree with @Ronald Springel MD, we have traitors in the military. We need a special military prison where these traitors are sent as we route them out.

Unfortunately it is.

Oh Mike, that is exactly what needs to happen. It actually tells us though that the Commanders are a part of it???? Lord help us. So very frightening. 🇺🇸🥰

Mike Flynn’s brother was instrumental in delaying the National Guard to the the Capital on 1/6.

Jan6th,For hours and hours, I watched the whole day, try as they might to steal a country from the majority of citizens. It was an epic fail, grifters need the dough to try again, mcDonald trump can't get no Benny's like he had, what a truly sad case of entitlement from a Weak mind. I wish him KARMA, in a bigly way.

Yes, I was thinking about Flynn... and how many others. We just cannot afford to not get the Truth Seekers to help with this (I am wanting to think that they are) but we can’t take anything for granted. Thanks Barbara, appreciate your reply and conversation. 🇺🇸🙏

Steve, your diction is more than eloquent! Trump’s V-day post made me sick. Thanks for calling it out. Still, there are many in the military who support him. Hard to figure.

That’s why we have to repeat as often as we can his words calling our war heroes “losers” and “suckers”. And remind them that he means to turn them on their own citizens for simply exercising their First Amendment rights.

And also that little Tommy Tupper is taking his marching orders from the orange blob as he's too stupid and cowardly to attempt his treachery on his own.

The tuber is decapitating the military as part of Project 2025 so 🍊💩can appoint his sycophants to orchestrate the military takeover of the streets and the arrest of his “enemies” once he is inaugurated. All the more reason to landslide him out of the race. Even then, I fear he will claim he won and try to marshal the troops into the streets to take the country by force. He will have a full complement of treaters to parachute into leadership positions in the military.

We must assume he is plotting to overthrow the country regardless of who wins the 2024 election and be ready with an effective countermeasure.

This makes sense. It is the first reasonable explanation of Tubberville’s traitorous actions.

People in the military are a cross section of our citizenry as a whole.

Are you sure about that, Karen? I have the impression (maybe wrongly) that most of the military is from the Bible Belt (gag).

Expand full comment

That may be true, but it still applies. Are there more white nationalists in the Bible belt as a whole? If so, they have a big representation in our populace, too. It's all disturbing, nevertheless, and they need to be removed from service as threats to our national security.

This is the Oath I took as a young U.S. Air Force enlistee. It is the same for all five branches. The license plate frame on my car: "I am a Veteran. My Oath never Expires." People like Donald J. Trump, Congressmen Mike Johnson,, Jordan, Gaetz and many others make a mockery of their Oath and of our republic. My distant paternal grandfather fought with the Virginia 9th Regiment, American Revolutionary War. Two uncles,, WWII, U.S. Army. Me, USAF, Vietnam War Era (overseas Intel). Trump and his infidels are a giant blemish, a massive puss-filled boil on America.

~Vince T, you and your proud family speak for us... yet none of our long lived patriotic family going back to the 1880s have served, none drafted, none volunteered of which we are aware, no deferments, we supported a valiant diesel electric submarine commander in WW II, called him Uncle Mac...he felt like an uncle, had no children, took extraordinary risk, his boat was effective in Japanese harbors, fortunate, S B Lewis..

Thank you, S B. Very thoughtful of you. Ironic that when a young (21) USAF Staff Sergeant I would have given up my life without hesitation. I have always known that about myself, despite not having served in a combat setting. I have US Marine Corps friends who say I should have been one of them! I was a USAF Security Services "kid" in North Germany; then, Pakistan. I look at people like Trump and his followers as earth's vermin; purely poison.

Yes, Steve, profound danger. You see and speak of the contrast. Mr. Trump v. Basic Decency. General Douglas MacArthur’s code and creed, his words and life set the standard. His devotions were pure patriotism. His words to his fellow soldiers and countrymen ring true today. As do you, Steve.

May God and all good people guide us, guide America to better, to decency, to charity, to our constitution and to tolerance, away from prejudice, fear, ignorance and hatred of those that are different, fear and ignorance, the dynamics of prejudice. May conscience guide us all to leadership that honors the truth and our beliefs that treasure the constitution and honor our country and all our people.

In God and our best instincts do we trust, for we must act now, not delay, and we must vote for the man or woman that sees the light... not some selfish self dealing grifting autocratic dictator that will tell us what to believe and what to do...

We hear you, Steve. We thank you.

I wonder how many members of Americas' military branches are as disgusted as I am that a traitor who has promised to destroy what they work so hard at to defend is vying for our nations top job?

All of our votes, along with all of the militarys' votes, are needed to defeat the traitor.

That, and severe punishment for the insurrection he caused, is our defense against him.

The comparison of oaths is striking in effect. Frequently children will side with, rather than stand up to, the class bully because they're afraid of becoming a target themselves. Amazing how little insurrection-abiding citizens who know better have changed since grade school.

What is the one word that can never, and will never, be associated with Fungus 45? "Honor". 45 maybe called many, many things, but no-one ever has accused him of being honorable. I believe, if nothing else, we must vote for those people that are honorable.

Fungus--what an excellent description of tRump. It is so HARD to eradicate a fungus, be it fungus on plants, athlete's foot, toenail fungus or crotch rot, as my son called it. It takes months to see a difference and repeated applications of fungicides and fungicidal medications. Those who believe in democracy will have to regularly, daily apply the fungicide of truth and work our tails off to get out the vote. We can NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER not pay attention to the evil (like Stephen Miller) that lives among us. If we let our guard down, demand AND people will die.

How many people who need to see them actually see his Truth Social posts? The cultists who follow him on that site and those of us on the other side who follow what he does closely. I couldn't bear to open a Truth Social account to prove to my Fox-hypnotized father that Trump really is as pathologically damaged, vindictive, and dangerous as I keep telling him he is. I pulled up a bunch of his TS posts that people had posted on Twitter, like this one Steve did, and he didn't believe they're real. Next time I'm there I'll open an account in front of him so he'll see, but I don't think it will matter sadly. He's 94, has a PhD, and was a Lt Commander in the Navy. Fox will go down in history as the primary destroyer of our democracy. If not for them protecting Trump, he'd be a footnote in the US story by now. Disgusting.

It is disgusting but it is also fixable under the right leadership, determination, and adequate resources . Slander and defamation lawsuits against the corporate entity that harbors this right wing propaganda machine, can force this pro fascist behemoth in our democracy wallowing in its own mud without a Muckrake.

Trump’s Fake (Truth) Social posting is illuminating. Trump not only has the knack to make Veterans Day all about him; twisting the day into convoluted “call to arms” to usurp our democracy, but it shows how consistent he is making a celebration of American service and history, a political statement for his own selfish needs.

It reminds me of all Trump’s Infrastructure months which celebrated everything but infrastructure. Trump using the month to desecrate veterans, argue against woke and cancel culture; all the while trying to cancel the most marginalized Americans.

Truly outstanding!...:)

Words matter, particularly given their, largely, inextricable link to actions. Accordingly, I have no words that possibly could justify MSM’s application of normative rhetorical coverage of an obviously asymmetrical upcoming General Election. I do hope upcoming issues of “The Warning” tackle this travesty, replete with proposals for influencing election season coverage in lieu of our remaining essentially anxious spectators because we’re not in the proverbial rooms where decisions are made.

Donald Trump has no honor. He strives for no ideal greater than himself. Donald Trump does not understand the words spoken by General McArthur. The words are foreign to him because they speak of honor, duty and country. Trump wants others to sacrifice so he can rule. He has no respect for others because he is full of self. He has no vision for a country without promoting himself first and foremost. His only concern is Donald Trump. Even his family is a distant concern after protecting himself. Donald J Trump is unfit as a human being. He is unfit for service in our military or any other official capacity.
