I was so elated when I saw that millions of people watched two of his YouTube videos. Some replies mentioned that they thought SS was a Republican -I corrected them, politely, and let them know that he has relentlessly been fighting MAGA every day for years and is a registered Democrat. One thing I see is that MAGA and many of the GOP are attracted to the 'cool factor' and that so many millions of people are confused about how our government functions and what 'cool' really is. Steve Schmidt is the REAL 'Cool'...and he is one who can get through to people who want 'Cool' and want freedoms, too, but are just all turned around because of MAGA, Faux News, Lies upon Lies, Deceit, Broken Promises, Exploitation, incitement of fear and anger.

Yesterday in Huntington Beach, long a bastion of nazis and right-wing politics, about 40 TFG-ers were out by the pier, waving flags in a pro-TFG rally. Well, they provoked a bunch of skateboarders, who started waling on them with their boards, sending some to the hospital. I don't condone that behavior at all. What I don't get is why they have to show up with their annoying flags and crap. Whenever I see this and I'm driving by, I'm more than happy to roll down the windows and yell, "Losers!" and "He lost, get over it!"

I too am sensing a waning of support (if not interest) in all but the most committed Trump supporters. You have only to look at the shrinking numbers of people attending his rallies and people leaving early etc. One guy even wrote on Twitter that he was a paid “extra” - paid to attend the latest rally. But because he and others like him were only paid for an hour’s worth of time, they left the event early! ( of course this person was very possibly lying- but still...) I do hope the vast majority of US citizens pay attention enough to know what is going on and not enough to be either celebrating or demanding a release. The US has a very effective judicial system, and while this is a stress test of the process, it is a process with specific rules and procedures that need to be followed in accordance with the laws of NY. As it would be the same for any other jurisdiction, be it state or federal, where Mr. Trump might be charged. All are equal before the law, and all should be treated fairly and in accordance with the laws.
What will I be wearing: normal black or gray. This isn't France, so no colors of the revolution: I am not marching as a Suffragette and wearing white. Tuesday should be a nondescript day, as people do their jobs, and the Judicial system performs its role.
I am sure some will be wearing Trump's name emblazoned on their clothing, and waving his flags. They may be in front of the courthouse or they may be somewhere else. So long as they have the permits, it is their right to peaceably assemble. The same is true for others who do not support Trump: they may wave flags and they may peaceably assemble. Watching a Jordan Klepper piece just after the first tRump Tuesday indictment (2 weeks ago?), there were more media support staff on the street than MAGA protesters, appeared to be 10 to 1 (and there were about 5 MAGAers). The media folks need to let go of this train wreck, dumpster fire, stop reporting that there will riots in the streets - not going to happen. I plan to ignore it as much as is possible. I will say, I don’t care, I do on a deep level, but not for the circus and media event. Neither will I watch 60 Minutes tonight. It is all crazy and I am choosing to turn away from the crazy. It is hard, because we are surrounded by it, but tonight and Tuesday and probably for several days, I am not participating.
What I will do is search for and actually READ the indictment. I can read. I don't need pundits to tell me what is in it.
I only read a few newsletters. The Warning is the best one. I don't watch any television and I have few conversations with people I know about what is going on with tRump. He has sucked the oxygen out of this country for long enough, at least in my own life. I'm sick of it. Thanks.

I do hope the vast majority of US citizens pay attention enough to know what is going on and not enough to be either celebrating or demanding a release. The US has a very effective judicial system, and while this is a stress test of the process, it is a process with specific rules and procedures that need to be followed in accordance with the laws of NY. As it would be the same for any other jurisdiction, be it state or federal, where Mr. Trump might be charged. All are equal before the law, and all should be treated fairly and in accordance with the laws.
What will I be wearing: normal black or gray. This isn't France, so no colors of the revolution: I am not marching as a Suffragette and wearing white. Tuesday should be a nondescript day, as people do their jobs, and the Judicial system performs its role.
I am sure some will be wearing Trump's name emblazoned on their clothing, and waving his flags. They may be in front of the courthouse or they may be somewhere else. So long as they have the permits, it is their right to peaceably assemble. The same is true for others who do not support Trump: they may wave flags and they may peaceably assemble. That is the right of all Americans.

Steve - Once again, spot on. I agree with your and some other replies that support for tRump is waning quickly and quietly. Watching a Jordan Klepper piece just after the first tRump Tuesday indictment (2 weeks ago?), there were more media support staff on the street than MAGA protesters, appeared to be 10 to 1 (and there were about 5 MAGAers). The media folks need to let go of this train wreck, dumpster fire, stop reporting that there will riots in the streets - not going to happen. But chin-up, the MAGAers in House and Senate will keep us all entertained - MTG and Bobo are my favorites, take them seriously but mock them openly. I feel better now
And law enforcement and the FBI should not lose sight of the inciters of violence who, under the "guardrail" of freedom of speech and the First Amendment, actually are driven to the Second Amendment to protect it, with banners that in the Waco-Trump Rally read "Trump or Death." If this is an action that warns and alarms any law-abiding citizen about the now obvious messaging that drives action, especially in the resting place of so many women and children burnt to death, it should certainly be part of any contingent plan ahead to protect our lives from the anarchical affront to the Rule of Law.

Trumpism has become a kink, a quirky fetish, that will soon displace legions of adherents, as opportunists scramble and peck at one another in order to hoarse for themslevs the prized fealty of the sea of bozos.

To think and to ponder and to prognosticate is human. It is an exercise in freedom. It keeps the media conglomerate busy and profitable. While so much incertitude is fed into the hearts and minds of those who have vested life and interest in the recognition of governmental incompetence and failure, still angry and frustrated towards those who rule our lives, the media is just creating the hype for the shiny objects who will all descend in... not New York, but into the world of mediatic spectacle. Lots of bucks will be made, many will become even richer, while the commoner, us living the consequences, will continue to bear the downside, the effect on our psyche, the pursuit of unhappiness in oblivion and disengagement, because it is business as always. Why? Because the players are lost in their own creation.
