When she took over for Chuck Todd on MTP I watched her first show. Her first guest was Elise Stefanick who lied her ass off the entire interview and Welker never pushed back once. Click, off, never to be watched again. She's a lousy journalist and now obviously, a lousy person.
Some will think that Steve's commentary today was hyperbole. It was not. The evil and rot of people like Trump and those who act as if all of what is going on is within the bounds of normality and not a dangerous combination of narcissism, greed, corruption, ignorance, racism, and religious fanaticism are as dangerous as Trump and his movement. That this includes many in the press and other media is deeply disturbing.
I agree with you 100%. I think that is what I was trying to say in my comment. I did not see Steve's piece as hyperbole . He speaks the truth . What worries me is that the rest of the population doesn't know what is happening. Or if they do they think it's ok. WHCD committee should never have invited Trump period.
Many years ago when I was a young man I wasn’t the most engaged politically. Work, some money in my pocket, keg party with some cute women to chat up and I was all set. That being said, I still had a clue of what was going on. I knew about Watergate, I knew about the oil embargo, I knew about the Iran hostages, I knew about Iran-Contra, etc, etc, etc. Did I know all of the issues ( back in the day ) ? No, of course not. I was young. But if someone asked me about Nov 3rd I would have said something like, “ Is that the date for the midterms? “ I may not have been 100% sure on the date but I wouldn’t have said what’s happening that day?
I can't help it, your last sentence cracked me up. I grew up in a big family that followed politics the way families follow sports. It is in my blood.. but I wrote earlier and i mean it at least for today .. If we lose in November and some of the blame goes to the democrats I am giving it up. This is beyond stressful.

But knowing, ahead of time, what was coming their way?! these folks are masochists. All they had to do is send one journalist; everyone could watch the broadcast and report from that.
