The most corrupt men in this country are Mitch McConnell and Leonard Leo. Their corruption — power at any price for their insidious agenda — is why we are where we are.

The place is crawling with corruption.

When I heard McConnell is voting for Trump, I said yep, there is only one thing that dried up fossil cares about: POWER.

Yes. He could have prevented all this.

Despicable man.

The entire republican party and followers are one corrupt entity. Getting + retaining power and sticking it ti the Dem's, regardless of how much collateral damage it does to the country in the process.

Screw them!

Blob McConnell is going to slither and crawl into a meeting with Stench Trump tomorrow, and he will collapse at Trump’s fetid feet. A final capitulation, after so many over the last nine horrible, ghastly years. As he looks up at Trump through his craven, bleary eyes, I wonder if he will even think about the smears Trump made against McConnell’s wife? “Coco Chow?” “ Mitch McConnell’s China-loving wife”?

I wonder what McConnell’s children think about him.

What will OUR children think about us if the Stench is elected again?

This is just a horrifying situation. And a looming catastrophe on Election Day. Steve is 100% correct. We have to say NO. And back it up with whatever we need to back it up with. For as long as it takes.

Mitch sucks.

They may have been the most corrupt up until Trump’s inauguration, but the cesspool has turned into an ocean of the worst excrement we could ever imagine.

I don’t think we’ll ever be able to use the words “most corrupt” to define any of these guys, because the new breed is turning out to be far worse.

Although guys like Leo, McConnell and Miller may be the most corrupt and effective of the bunch…:)

No one so clearly articulates the political potholes of our time as Steve Schmidt. Proud to say that we are from the same home state of N.J. Although Steve started out on the right side of the aisle, his astute analysis of our current political state, which is figuratively on fire and will burn down to the ground unless we all unite and vote Democratic up and down the ticket, as our only solution. It feels great to join forces together with former Republicans who share our common values and mission: to re-elect Joe Biden and reclaim the House to Democratic control. We are in this fight together!

You’re right, Sharon. Steve should be making Biden‘s ads not the bozos who are currently in charge.

Biden’s ad ahout Trump’s contempt for our military was brilliant. We need more just like that.

Yes, there is nothing like a good 'Schmidt Storm' to clear the air!

Yes, 'forced birth' IS the correct term. Thanks.

My thoughts exactly. Steve helps me to understand the urgency to start the fight immediately to save our demy. The corruption is deep within the Republicans and we need to cleanse it and vote blue on every other ballot.

Mr Schmidt thank you so much for your work. I am finally waking up to the trouble that the US is in

Steve, I so respect your honesty about both the Iraq war and the confirmation of Alito. I would love for you to write more about both topics because our recent history is in danger of being forgotten. I personally spoke out against Alito’s nomination at work and was scolded for it.

Consequences should be brought to bear swiftly.

Fearlessly and fearsomely stated, Steve. Yes, Donald Trump is an American Caesar but even more so America’s Hitler, even mimicking the latter’s stab-in-the-back revenge juggernaut as his political platform. Martha Alito personifies the Trumpian mass delusion and death that characterized the darkest hour of the German mindset, rounded out by the Republican martinets and the Good German complicity of silent obeisance.

Thanks Steve for the moral clarity on these issues. It helps me stay strong and impervious to the MAGA nonsense that gets dumped on me every day.

Great video. Broken is the right term. Oligarchy shows a broken financial system as well. Our food supply is compromised. And, of course, our climate is accelerating over the cliff. Our society needs fixing on all these fronts, if only prayer could do it - people need to take real action to do it. The media is a big problem because they should be reporting the truth, instead of making things worse. People that say they are good will become the murders of the meek. We're in for some interesting history making - coming right up!

John Roberts is an “institutionalist” who firmly believes his institution stands above, is superior too, the other two branches of government. The Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, “originalists” contaminating the judiciary, “unitary executive” promoters (e.g. Dick Cheney), consciously or unconsciously conspire to destroy our democracy. Courageous leaders such as Dick Durbin occasionally release a strongly-worded response. Throw in the Reagan Revolution and Citizen’s United, and by golly, here we are.

What makes this corruption so disheartening is that it is being done in the light of day with no accountability. The people who can do something about it are the ones that are corrupted or too scared to do anything about it.

Trump says he will sell the removal of regulations for money. It won’t be limited to regulations, top secrets, policies, privatization of the postal service and Medicare, and certainly Trump will extort royalties for every drum of oil and will siphon money from our treasury. Putin will show Trump how he does it, put of the “deal”.,

I just saw that Republican voted to find Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress. Stupid is as stupid does. Garland has been the best thing that could happen to republicans. His slow and timid use of the justice department insured no Trump trials on Federal charges.

This is a Congress that seems to have no passion or time to pass bills to help Americans ( passed the fewest number of bills in the history of Congress) but have enough time simply because they could not find any evidence of wrongdoing by Biden for the last 3 years ( at tax payer expense). So the Republicans are now going to make Garland their scapegoat for their stupidity and ineptness. The American people should be outraged. The media should be all over this. The democrats should be echoing the fact that instead of working for Trump they should be working for the American people who pay their their salaries and provide the palatial office they work in. Congress , especially the Republican should be held accountable but they won’t be. Why isn’t Jim Jordan in contempt for no honoring a Congressional subpoena? Double standard? You bet!

He was found in contempt of Congress but the DOJ refused to prosecute just like they are going to do for Garland. It’s all for show, I fking hate these people.

Hypocrites with their meters in the red. Same damn thing they did when Scalia died. "Oh no, we can't possibly consider a SCOTUS nomination 9 months before an election." That was before either party had a nominee and primaries were just beginning. Then RBG dies 6 or 7 weeks before an election - nominees are in place, early voting has already begun and they fast track Barrett's nomination and hold the confirmation vote 5 weeks and 3 days later. The level of hypocrisy just proves they don't give a shit about anything but cheating and winning at any and all costs. Fuck every single one of them. Apologies for the f bomb, but there is no other adequate way for me to express it.

Ive been convinced that if elected he will have the Treasury Department pay his 500 million plus tab with the State of NY and 93 million to E Jean Carroll. It’s a no brainer, he will do it in a NY minute.

Our treasury, like his university, his charity, his business, the RNC are all just Trump piggy banks. Trump never pays his bills with his own money. Why use his own money when he has so many rubes paying the bills for a billionaire with money they claim they can’t afford because of inflation?

It is getting harder and harder to have faith in our government. So many changes need to be made.

I agree with Mike. We must retain faith in the goverment that was established by the Consitution. Through most of our history it has given us the means to expand democracy, further human rights, and make discrimination a thing of the past. The GOP, having fallen under the spell of Christian Nationalists and other unsavory people, is trying hard to undo the progress we have made. Let us use the power the Constiution and our legal system has given us to fight back against the reactionaries who have only begun their fight to restore white privilege, institutional bias against LGBTQ people, and oligarchy. The Dobbs decision is only the beginning. Listen to Thomas, Alito, and his savage wife and understand they mean what they say.

If I were Joe Biden I would deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops within the United States, as called for in the Insurrection Act of 1807, to suppress civil disorder, insurrection, or rebellion. If the Oath, Keepers, Proud Boys, and other such fascist private militias attempt violence to force Trump and the MAGA agenda on us, I believe military force to disperse and defeat them would be appropriate and constitutional.

Buckle up; we are in for a rough ride.

Donny Deutch had a great idea(doesn’t he always?) for a tv ad. Have a side by side comparison of Trump and Biden with , “fit” and “unfit” categories. Show Trump’s batteries and sharks speech then Biden’s WWII speech, other Trump speech’s vs. Biden’s speeches.

Follow all of the comparisons with, Nuclear codes? Which one would you choose?

Sounds effective to me. Give it a spin. PLEASE.
