You have captured well Trump’s malevolence and total disrespect for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. He must be treated to the disgust and contempt and the full force of it by media and the American public. Anyone who casts a vote for this man is a USA traitor. Full stop.

I agree 100%. Millions are willfully and shamefully blind to all the vile, cruel, disgusting and even evil things he has said and done. I will never understand it as long as I live…….Nazi Germany will never be a mystery to me, a cult will believe and frightening DO anything. Yes, traitors.

And you have perfectly captured exactly how I feel. He's an abject disgrace to whoever has warn the uniform including my father a WWII US Navy veteran who proudly served his country with two young sons at home. None of the Trump's have served, and I fact-checked that. In fact, there's quite a story about an uncle who escaped serving in disgrace. The entire family is a despicable except maybe for Mary Trump and her family.

Shelia - you called it right: TRAITOR! A TRAITOR is running for POTUS. Americans who support him are either brainwashed or simply insane. Oh… in addition to the many GOP who get down on their knees at night and pray to money. Thank you Sheila.

Pat: his depravity is on full display. He should never have been allowed to run for any public office. Far less the Presidency. It’s beyond belief that he is allowed to hold any kind of political event at Arlington - on this sacred ground.

Trump knows no shame at all. Why do you think his cabal of Program 2025 goons and gangsters support him. He is so so easy to manipulate thus they get their way.

Just wait till the MSM get all breathless and “both sides-y” about his repugnant use of Arlington to pump his moribund campaign. I am already feeling mentally queasy; no way will I watch any coverage of that callow and vile beast using our cemetery for vain and dishonest reasons.

meryl. The media will find some way to drag Tim Walz into this. “Gov Walz, why won’t you go to Arlington to pay your respects like Trump did? Are you afraid of Trump’s Security Bullies? “

Absolutely.

Will the MSM report the vile truth about TFG or glorify his visit to Arlington? Problematic!

Well said, Steve. This is so very disgusting and appalling for someone who clearly has no respect for the military and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. From "suckers and losers" to "what was in it for them" to "no one wants to see them" to the "Presidential Medal of Freedom means more than the Medal of Honor", to today's planned desecration. He's such an unqualified piece of shit.

As a Vietnam veteran, I and my fellow veterans must, at this time, do everything in our power to stop him! Good news is that the 700+ veteran groups I have daily contact with are working to stop Trump And his Corrupt MAGA MORON Nutjobs that are in power, i.e. M. TRAITOR Greene, Kari Lake, Gaetz! Support VoteVETS, the American Legion, VFW. Vote BLUE!

But we will be inundated with news videos of him scowling and stomping, rambling like a tumbleweed and being referred to Mr. President.

I could not loathe him more. The Bulwark has a great article by

Tim Miller on the silence of the former Cabinet members, the Generals, and higher tiered Republicans who refuse to speak the truth about this dangerous and unhinged monster. Good reading if you have time.

Thank you, for sharing Tim Miller's article. I love listening to him on MSNBC! He wrote what I have been thinking-where are these people, and why aren't they speaking out! He mentioned George W. Bush not being at the convention; it's funny I was thinking the same thing! The Clintons, the Obamas, and the Bush(s), have respect for one another, they might even be true friends. I think that those present at the convention would have given Bush a standing ovation!

Timing is very important in a corporate generated product-world where the attention span of the public can be measured in days at most. It is just about time for the BIG STATEMENTS. I am not at all sure they will happen, but a month ago would have been too early.

The one good that Trump has done for those of us on the left of center is introduce us to the likes of Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney among republican politicians. And I have learned to treasure commentators Jennifer Rubin and Nicole Wallace. What fine minds they have, and how balanced and true are their views! It took Tim Miller a little longer to gain favor but he has won me over with powerful and true analyses. If we live through them, I look forward to a world that has been cleansed by the apocalyptical times we are experiencing. Our enemies have been exposed and their designs will have been thwarted. Fox News will be no more and our discourse will return to the days of yore, when Reagan and Tip O'Neill were friends and their battles were over the best way to serve our country. “But all will be well, and all will be well, and every kind of thing will be well.”

Excellent and appreciate your comment. I agree.

Totally agree. Tim Miller points out that there is loud silence from the big names in the Republican pantheon regarding tRump. It has to be more than cowardice! Are they all they cowed by the disapproval of fellow country club members?

MSM will glorify his appearance and repress the reality of his using Arlington as a backdrop for vitriol and extreme partisan politics, as well as flat-out lies (as usual). Arlington is a sacred space of respect and honor for all who rest there. Filthy partisanship and self aggrandizement have no place there. Every word and adjective Steve wrote today is accurate

That traitor has absolutely no business anywhere near such hallowed ground! The only thing he even wants the military for is to be a prop for him. This dumb bastard was even demanding military parades in his"honor".He wouldn't know"honor"if it walked up and bit him on his fat ass!

A national cemetery should never provide the backdrop for a political stunt. If it's too late to stop this, the Administration should immediately Institute policies to prevent future desecration of our war dead. What's next? Fundraising keggers among the gravestones? Contests to extinguish the eternal flame at JFK's grave? Ring Around the Tomb of the Unknown.

This is obscene. Let Trump rent his own damn backdrop for his stunts.

There is nothing sacred for Trump unless it’s money or flattery. Above all there has to be something in it for him.

The concept of honor, loyalty, or valor are like a foreign language to him. He didn’t want to be seen with a wounded soldier but he likes his soldiers better without wounds, or not captured.

Trump, in his mind, knows he lost votes over his desecration of the Medal of Honor. So he will pretend he cares about veterans, especially those that gave their life for this country. He will talk tough and bravely about the military.

But time and time again Trump demonstrates his inability to understand the word sacrifice .

5 time draft dodger, disparaging to people who protect this country with their lives.

Trump is a coward as evidenced once again by his avoiding a debate with Harris.

Trump is nothing more than a small child scared of his own shadow compensating by feigning bravado. Trump is an example man devoid of any virtue.

Ronald Reagan fast tracked Rupert Murdoch’s citizenship and oversaw the death of the Fairness Doctrine. FOX viewers will know nothing of what you detail here. Aided by said death, FOX is free to be what it is - the voice of the Repugnican party, which, in turn, has found its voice and hero in Tr*mp and shed the last vestige of it’s minuscule supply of integrity.

M$M journalists are hungry for a Harris press conference and details of her policies so that they can negatively parse everything she says (balance!) while ignoring the vast majority of Tr*mp’s insane, divisive blather. I’m far more interested in her character and values, which are very much what America needs and which are clearly expressed daily, including in her selection of Tim Walz as her VP.

Steve, I am beginning to know you as Friend and Brother now. Once again, you have hit right in the center of the heart in the matter, for me. Thank you again for your heartfelt words my Brother......

trump is now a cognitively and mentally deteriorated man; dementia is paired now to his NPD. It does not matter what outrageous stunts he tries to pull off in the fleeting days before he is kicked to the curb of politics, there is very little chance that he will set foot in the White House again. He will not debate V.P. Harris and will simply yell and pollute the public discourse until the court cases and ensuing convictions finally take place. Those who continue to support this man cannot be reached, for a variety of reasons. The majority of voters see Trump for who he is and has always been: a sociopath and con man. Better days are ahead for America.

Geez, plenty of blame to go around about the Afghanistan war. Bush started it so he deserves primary blame. Obama and Trump continued it, so they have some responsibility. Biden ended it. That any of those men would use it for a photo opportunity is disgusting. Trump cares nothing about service members or their families. His going there adds to the pile of his disgusting lies.
