I've practiced 1st A law for almost 30 years. Every time I see falsehoods spewed on Fox (and some MSM), I think of the irreparable damages they are causing, and want to see a class action. Unless we get back to requiring facts over fiction on any media claiming to provide news (like the former Fairness Doctrine, taken off the books in 1989), our problems are only going to get worse. Can you think of a discrete group of people so directly and personally harmed by the right's falsehoods they could overcome a standing challenge? Serious question.

Thankfully George Conway is there, but you've hit the nail on the head about one of the key problems and grave dangers of today's "news' programs. I think the quotes are well deserved as so little passes for true news.
George is exactly right. He is TOTALLY RIGHT. And I’m proud of George today. I hope he addresses this debacle on his podcast George Conway Explains Everything to Sarah Longwell. I didn’t see this mess because I’ve stopped watching CNN altogether and I used to love it. Color me bad, but I loved Cuomo and Lemon. They argued all over the place with John Kasich. I have TRIED to watch CNN, but when Scott Jennings made an appearance, I switched to Buried in the Backyard. Or Killer Couples. WTF. I can’t stand these lying toadies and their smarmy, smug BS.
This is a great Warning, Steve. It’s compelling and right on. Just as they all are. I look forward to them daily.
PS. What do you think about Dean Phillips and his suggestion that Kathy Hochul pardon Trump? For the “good of the country”? What????

All have been hits, sometimes a home run. But today, in this video commentary on CNN you’ve hit a Grand Slam out of the park and into the neighborhood. Well done Steve, well done, many thanks!
I am so sick and tired of medias sick and twisted attempt at edutainment! So much so, that I do not give CNN and other profit focused outlets the time of day. I highly suggest everyone in the country do the same, until they change their tune and start portraying the truth, instead of what you so eloquently detailed in this episode. Viewership is the only thing they understand, because it determines ad rates! Time to boycott CNN for sure, as I have done.
I just keep getting madder and madder. Thanks to Steve, George and the others with the courage to push back against a shameless GOP and a worthless, ineffective mass media. What happened to investigative reporters or real interviewers like Ted Koppel??
And make sure that you understand exactly what is transpiring under the surface regarding these “news” networks. There bottom lines were never healthier than during the 4 years of Trump. They positioned themselves as the opposition media outlets and their ratings soared. It worked once and I am convinced that they are salivating at the prospect of a repeat. There profits are more important than the salvation of our democracy.

I'm wondering Steve if you can comment on Susie Wiles, trumps campaign manager. I'm curious as to where her sychophancy for the orange menace came to be. Pro publica just came out with an explosive report on payments to potential witnesses against trump. Wiles's daughter wad given a lucrative job and Wiles a significant pay raise, among many others.
The way I know it's bullshit is the bliss with which they talk. I mean true serenity and joy. And "certainty." Scott Jennings has it. Chris Sununu has it too. I have been reading a cultural history of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Although the book did not necessarily age well for various reasons, it was hugely impactful to the lead up to the Civil War. It was read and it was a force for good.
Stowe it can be rightly claimed was instrumental in the ending of slavery. When she visited the White House during the Civil War, it is said that Lincoln remarked, “Is this the little lady who started this Great War?”
Let’s hope that the goodness of informed people will prevail this November.
