Trump is indeed weak, as is every dictator, whether poseur or genuine. As you have underscored, Steve, and as the world’s foremost advocate of strategic nonviolent action, the late Gene Sharp, who spent his life researching and creatively developing a theory and practice of nonviolence as a more effective form of political and social struggle than violence and war, profoundly understood, political power derives from and requires the consent of the governed. When that consent is withheld or withdrawn and fused with strategically deployed, multi-pronged nonviolent forms of dissent, resistance and noncooperation, even the prima facie omnipotent can and have crumbled and fallen. Psychotically evil Trump and his cult of martinets and gullible fools are no different. We just need to be laser-focused, imaginative, resolutely courageous and indefatigable in our moral confidence to defeat this cancer on the body politic and human civilization.

CNN" "One of the dumbest ideas" Donnie wants to shut down the FDIC. Just for the hell of it. Former FDIC head Shiela Bair says "A REALLY BAD IDEA!"

Well, no shit Sherlock!

Donnie wants to fuck things up without any thought about the consequences. INSANE!!!

The Stupids are about to be given the keys to the Nation. Idiocracy. Marching Morons.

Will the Dems just sit on their hands and watch the idiot child screw up the country, without any objection?

Bannon/Stone/Musk/RFK/Gabbard/Trump. Let's just trash things in government that are working just fine. And see what happens! Toddlers with gasoline and matches.

It isn't just Trump or his advisors as nearly one half of those who bothered to get to the polls voted for his return. This tells me there are a lot of people, mostly older and rural, who don't accept the fact that change is upon us and there is no going back. The mid terms in 2026 will be the turning point

We have seen so many situations that made Donald Trump the obviously incompetent and corrupt danger that he is. The top three are his attempt to coerce Zelenskyy into investigating Biden by threatening to withhold congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine. This attempt to ensure his re-election led to his first impeachment in 2019. The craven Magats in the Senate failed to convict him. The second monumental failure was his diminishing the threat of the Covid epidemic for political reasons which led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans. The third was, of course, his illegal and failed attempts to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election, including inciement to insurrection, which culminated in his second impeachment and a second failure on the part of Senate Republicans to do their constitutional duty and convict him.

Some unimaginable event will lead to his downfall but what kind of pain it will bring to our country and the world is something I don't even want to think about.

Yes, given all you've stated here, it is beyond absurd that Trump its president-elect. Crazy!

Trump would love to see Trudeau gone as minime Polievre is just waiting in the wings to implement Canada’s version of Project 25 and help the US harvest Canadian water and divide up the Arctic with Russia.

And as Steve mentioned, Rahm Emanuel’s piece in yesterday’s Washington Post was the best analysis as to why Harris lost and why Democrats have seemingly become tone deaf on issues that allowed Trump to win. Take this paragraph from Emanuel:

We can no longer tiptoe around the issues that have people worried. Crime, immigration, homelessness and a fentanyl crisis are, understandably, on the minds of millions. When carjackings are up and everything in pharmacies is locked down, you can’t recite crime statistics to deny people’s everyday experiences.

Agree these are problems, but people don’t care a whit about “issues”. If they did, they would be critical thinkers and not Sinclare/Fox morons. And, they would vote D. The electorate wants

entertainment and believes any racist/ fear base crap thrown to them.

These people do not care. Facts are not exciting and stimulating.

If you have the opportunity to read the entire piece, it is worth it. Although you are correct about a portion of the electorate, Emanuel makes a strong argument that disenchantment and disenfranchisement turned the electorate upside down. Righting the ship is needed, he states.

Yes, something must be done, agree. What I fear, however, is the social

media influence that cements the electorate into corners unless they

are in-tuned enough to counter narratives. Aside from the top money earners who should know better but do not care, the electorate is manipulated and has been for 35 years. Fox being blasted in barber shops, military bases and in homes across the country has produced Trump.

Also, focus groups have found that millions watched him as a pretend

billionaire on TV’s Apprentice and fell for it. That is the power of what we are up against. I do not have faith in the electorate, unfortunately. They will go

down supporting Trump. Now, when he dies, it will be curious to see if they swallow the same lies. JD Vance and his eyeliner? Not sure about that🤣

Steve, you’re so right - always. Please, as I’ve said before - stay alert and be safe. We’ll need you when the shitstorm quiets and they’re looking for grownups.

I am very very concerned. Trumpler and his spineless sycophants and evil incompetents will be a wrecking ball upon much of what is good in America. It’s going to get very dark…
