I want to thank you so much for the beautiful messages you shared about Sophie’s passing. I was truly overwhelmed, and have deep gratitude for them, along with donations made to no-kill animal shelters in her memory, and poems and drawings of my little pup. This is a perfect illustration of the kindness and compassion that exists in our country.
The Royal Navy will test fire a nuclear-capable ballistic missile from a submarine near Cape Canaveral in the coming days as a reminder to Vladimir Putin that the British are capable of creating mushroom clouds as large as his. This will likely be the first successful test in almost 20 years. It comes at a moment of growing peril because there is genuine fear in European capitals that Putin intends to attack a NATO country, and believes the United States under Donald Trump would not respond, thus destroying the most effective security alliance in world history. This will mean aggression succeeded, and that there will be more aggression, and ultimately, a terrible war.
Iran is at war with the United States, and has been killing Americans since the Islamic Republic came to power in 1979. The disaster of 21st century American policy across the Middle East has left Iran as the region’s dominant power, at the edge of becoming a nuclear weapons state. It is also in the position where it is commanding vast terror armies attacking both Israel and the United States. The United States does not want the war to escalate, but in the end doesn’t have a veto over that possibility. Should the United States go to war, it will enter the conflict profoundly divided, plagued by a culture that believes in little besides conspiracy theories, and burdened by a political class filled by extremists, hypocrites and crackpots.
President Biden refers to Donald Trump as a “sick fuck” in private, which is reassuring because it means he knows exactly who and what he is running against. What other explanation could conceivably be offered to explain Trump’s misconduct towards
, his threats towards Taylor Swift, his courtroom temper tantrums and utter incoherence, confusion and rages? Trump has assaulted decency, truth and reality with cunning, shamelessness and utter disregard for any rule, norm or law. Without exception, he is the greatest taker the country has ever produced. He has no respect for anything, and has contempt for democracy. He is enthralled by the sound of his voice, and enchanted by the genius of his idiocy. He is the most dangerous American who has ever lived.This was a wild week in American politics, and it is going to get crazier. Yet, what is playing out isn’t a game, a TV show or a farce. It is all very real. The Royal Navy will help remind us of that.
What we are drifting towards is the abyss, but it isn’t too late to stop the slide. This is why Trump must be defeated. His positions are crystal clear. They are absolutely hostile towards the US Constitution and American liberty. Trump is assailing what we must defend. He wants to be a dictator. He must never achieve his wish.
This past week offered a preview of what the revenge and retribution era of American politics will look like. It won’t be pretty. Let’s stop it now.
It shakes me to the core to see and hear people who say tRump is what we need. What they don’t understand is, he wouldn’t offer them a penny to help them out but yet has has ways to fleece them all
