There is no rock & roll without freedom. The story of America is a musical. American musicians are the muses of America’s great struggle to give voice to the eternal battle between the promise of a just society and the reality of an unjust one.
Americans have always raised their voices in song. They have sung in protest and defiance. They have sung in celebration of country and pride of nation. There have been happy songs and sad ones. There have been searing songs and silly ones. Perhaps most importantly, there have been songs of freedom. Some of those songs have been sung for a long time, and some still need to be sung.
This is one — a cover of the 1970s anthem “I Am Woman,” performed by The Wyld Olde Souls (which includes Rick Reil from the New Jersey band The Gripweeds). The talented Marlene Reil, a community member of The Warning and band member, has shared it here. I would encourage you to listen, watch and share it far and wide to mobilize both women and men to get out and vote! Thank you, Marlene!

"You can bend but never break me, 'Cause it only serves to make me -More determined to achieve my final goal -And I come back even stronger, Not a novice any longer -'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul" I AM WOMAN. VOTE BLUE! ! Thank you for sharing this Marlene:)
As a woman who recently turned 75 I to can remember the burn your bra (if you even wore one) the protesting the only can get birth control if you say you are engaged ( guess they thought you had to have a ring to have sex. Dah!) the women of today have no idea how it was, though with the over turn of Roe a lot are waking up. What I don’t understand is people do not seem to realize is the economy will go up and down always has always will. But once you start to loose democracy especially with this court you are not going to get it back .
