Trump is running the federal government like a crime boss. In 2019, Trump attempted to gain an advantage in his re-election campaign by pressuring Zelenskyy into investigating Joe Biden. It was extortion, as Trump threatened to withhold congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine if he did not comply. Today, I read in my local paper that, “The U.S. stopped providing the intelligence that’s helped Ukraine target Russian forces in Moscow’s three year war.” (The Daily Gazette, “U.S. halts intelligence for Ukraine,” p. A8). Once again, he is putting pressure on Ukraine, extorting that beleaguered country, in an attempt to force them to cave into his ally Putin’s demands and gain control over Ukraine’s mineral resources for the U.S.
Ordained by Jesus Christ, who spared him from assassination, to assure he would have a second term? I think not. If I were a Christian, I would think such a belief to be blasphemous and consider it evidence that Trump is the antiChrist described in Revelations.

In her March 5 Letters from an American newsletter, Heather Cox Richardson writes:

Sounds right to me. He is employing the strategy of tricking Americans into accepting privatization by causing government social and economic programs to fail, enabling the oligarchs to set up far less effective private programs that will profit them. That is why he has McMahon as Secretary of Education; she has openly called for abolition of the department she heads, exactly what Trump wants.
The actual person exercising presidential power, Musk, is quite open about his desire for democratic government to fail, opening the door for the oligarchs to take over:

STEVE - I follow you and read most of your posts - I just wanted to make a comment about what was a major contributor to Trump winning the 2024 election -
as we all saw he “takes the pulse” of our country and looks for things that he can tell people that he will do to solve their problems or make their lives better knowing all the time that it’s a lie
But he says these things over and over and over again and people want to believe him and then he’s got the propaganda machine behind him that repeats all of his lies to everybody with additional commentary to support the lies - and then as we’re seeing now he knew that he could not produce the lies that he was telling everybody, and it hasn’t taken long for that to be extremely obvious except to the knuckle draggers. so it will take actual reality setting in when he ruins our economy, when he ruins our standing in the world, and when he asserts his power through intimidation and cruelty on the majority of people in this country in order to please the super rich who can support him with their wealth and he removes any barriers that our government had to keep them from doing it - aided by the corrupt Supreme Court who gave him immunity from illegal acts which allows him to push his authority as far as he can get away with it
