I just finished watching the first campaign speech by VP Harris. To say it was perfect and masterful is an understatement. She pulled no punches in pointing out Trump's abysmal personal history with specific references to his sexual assaults, his scam Trump University, his business fraud etc. She contrasted that with her record as a prosecutor going after people who committed crimes like that, pointing out that she knows who is Trump. She also artfully presented the Democratic party's plans for our future and contrasted that with Trump plans. She referenced his promise to oil billionaires to do what they want in return for a billion dollar contribution to his campaign. She contrasted that with Democratic efforts to regulate the industry in order to preserve our environment.
My optimism rose to new heights as did my admiration for Kamala Harris.
I am super excited about having a fighting chance at defeating Trump. Whoever is selected, the coalition of pro-democracy citizens of this country need to do one thing and that is to overwhelmingly defeat Trump at the ballot box.

J.D. Vance apparently said people from Kentucky are lazy. Not sure when, but this drew a very pointed response from Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky.
