A notable historian should be collecting all of Steve Schmidt's commentary provided to Americans via The Warning. I am astounded at the way he uses language and emotion to convey his heartfelt beliefs. It is as if I am listening to a 21st Century Patrick Henry, or Tom Jefferson, or John Adams, well, you get it. I am very serious. My only wish is that all Americans were tuning in each day to listen to Steve give us "The Warning" of the day. CNN/MSNBC/PBS/etc., what a waste of our time if we are looking to be inspired.

Thank you, Barb, for the kind words.

Whew!! This one gave me butterflies Steve. Another reminder of what's at stake in just 2 short months.

I was reading in the Washington Post last night about a "1776 commission" back in 2020 Trump started right before he resigned as a backlash to the "1619 Book" where he wanted to institute a National curriculum in our schools and it was deeply frightening. Echoes of North Korea. Trump will do this and much much worse if he gets back in. Steve is right. DO something. Get involved. We don't have a minute to waste!! 💙🇺🇸💙

Lisa, thanks for posting that link to a very informative essay on how horrible the impact of a trumpian victory could be on the curriculum of our public schools.

We will learn that trumpty dumpty is an idiot and Kamala Harris is super smart. Wait, we already knew that.

There is nothing I can add to the most comprehensive indictment of Trump and MAGA that I have ever heard. Thank you, Steve. The Democratic party should buy ad time on every major network and play this video.

In terms of what Steve talked about in doing everything we can in the home stretch, I have been trying to do the following:

1. I talk to people. But just as importantly, I also listen to what they have to say. People respond better to talking when they know someone is listening and not just doing all the talking.

2. I share information with others, whatever I can find that is accurate and helpful. I don’t wish to overload people, so I try to be discerning.

3. I have donated what I can. Early in my life, I used to donate to my alma mater. But after a while I said why am I donating to an entity already sitting on millions? Then I donated to animal shelters and still do. This year, I donated to anyone or anything opposing MAGA at every level. I would like to go back to donating to animal shelters after this year — hopefully.

4. Lastly, I say thank you to anyone who talks and listens. I’m not in the booth with you, but I appreciate your time.

The fact that 40 percent of Americans do not have $400 in the bank is frightening. The effects of inflation on necessities have likely made this far worse and wiped out for many a sense of control and rationality. This has been a demagogue’s taking, which is why we have MAGA.

When someone has nothing to lose, they have nothing to lose. I harbor hope that sanity can prevail a little longer and we can then finally tackle why we have inequality in wealth that has no equal since medieval times.

What Trump supporters fail to grasp is Trump's economic plans would be a disaster for everyday Americans. I support the progressive wing of the Democratic party because they know the dangers inherent in the enormous gap between the wealthy and the rest of us and have serious proposals on how to reduce that gap.

If I could wave a magic wand, for starters, I would like to go back to the Federal Income Tax rates that existed during the Eisenhower years. But that is only a small, small piece of what needs to be repaired.

This statement by Candice Owens is her attempt to do what Steve did in reverse, indict those who disagree with Trump and his movement. It is striking for its reliance on intangible evidence, portraying a threat that exists only in the minds of the intolerant, demented, and brainwashed. If only people could listen to Steve's presentation, followed by this absurdly insane quote from Ms. Owen:

“This is very scary stuff, and it seems that there is sort of an awakening happening where people are starting to recognize that something more sinister is going on.

“And, of course, a recent example of that was just the Olympics. It does seem that they’re trying to almost now indoctrinate the entire world into their satanic faith. And it — like I said, it is my belief that this is a synagogue of Satan.

“Like you mentioned, it is Biblical. It mentions this, people who are pretending to be Jews, but are in fact people that worship Satan, and it seems like a very small, incredibly powerful group of elites.

“And I can trace this through to Australia, to Switzerland, to France, to America, to Canada, and it explains why it is the circumstance that all of these world leaders that we have, even President Zelensky, all seem to be homosexual. Obviously, their relationships are not real.” – Candace Owens, on her wildly popular podcast.

As a reminder, Owens has over ten million subscribers and followers across multiple platforms. The podcast regularly ranks in the top ten nationwide.

How can it be that over ten million people listen to and believe this insane bullshit? Is it something in our air, water, or food that is destroying our ability to think rationally. Perhaps a combination of micro plastics and poisonous runoff from factory farms coupled with air and water pollution? Maybe it is fear just below the conscious level born of the fact that our very existence is under threat daily from climate change and war and we do nothing meaningful to halt either one.

Candace Owens is crazy.

That is some seriously strange stuff. I have heard her speak a few times and she comes across as very arrogant. She is another who knows nothing but thinks they know everything.

The juxtaposition of Candice Owens's insane claptrap with that of our resident troll is a fine example of, dare I say, its inherent weirdness. It's like a trip through the looking glass.

Kamala should -- wickedly and sarcastically, natch -- commend Trump and Vance for their Herculean defense of marriage -- between fascism and Christian white nationalist theocracy, that is.

Steve i never put it together as you have tonight

I hear you say cogently that 9/11 was the root cause of MAGA and you’re correct. Post 9/11 going into Afghanistan and Iraq was a grievous error in judgement as you expose spending blood, tears and wealth on far away lands with no history of democracy or civil rights, those blunders brought us MAGA as sure as I am sitting at this keyboard writing this evening. It gathered the disenfranchised, angry and frustrated Americans among us, our neighbors, brothers and sisters into a caldron of self hate and bigotry.

As did inflation in Germany, chaos in governing in Italy and here we are almost a century later seeing it happen here!

I repeat again my belief that America will choose the high road, 9,000,000 more votes for harris, plus 40 in the house, plus 3 in the Senate and 400 plus electoral votes.

We will usher in a new era of goodness, educate the young, bring them into the fold, rebuild our infrastructure, create a community which ends the divides and our “house will stand” as a unified republic once again!

John McCain’s son announced that he is voting for Kamala.

His sister, Meghan, however, has decided to be a fence sitter by stating she would not be voting for either candidate.

If one of the candidates had insulted my father and besmirched his military career, I would be telling people that I cannot wait to vote against him.

I am always in awe of what and how you communicate. I agree with you and I am thankful I can hear the truth on Substack and especially the Warning. My biggest fear is that there will be violence and the election results will be questioned again. The good news is Biden is president so if there is violence from the right it will be Quashed immediately. I don’t trust Trump and his bands of Magats to not pull some disgustingly dirty tricks. I am so tired of the MSM for standing up for Trump. Why is it the 10m bribe from the Egyptian president disappeared as a story? Why is it we still do not have a report from the doctors that treated Trumps ear. ( the assignation attempt was a bullshit set up to give the sick orange man attention. I do not understand how after being shot you would worry about your shoes. ) if he could successfully pull off the fake assignation attempt what else is up his sleeve. We need to be prepared for the worse possible scenarios. Please address some of this in one of your next posts.

Another splendid video. The direct likening of the MAGA community to a religious cult was especially well done, particularly because it offers a good explanation, without denigration, how that cult came to be. And Mr. Schmidt's precise use of language is exceptional. In almost every video or essay I find an expression to be treasured. In this case "venomous incoherence" is a phrase that particularly well describes the current state of TFG's babbling. On that same note, because of the elegance and precision of Mr. Schmidt's language, I found his use of the "f-bomb" for emphasis disappointing. I thought it unnecessary. But then again, I'm old.

The hilarious irony for the Democrats is that Trump is still in the running because Democrats bring crappy candidates and unattractive policy ideas to the table. Give credit to the Regime handlers of Harris to rebrand her as a moderate, but alas... the Democrats don't own control of enough of the media to keep the truth from leaking out... that Harris and Walz are both nutty leftist radicals selling socialist dog food that the people don't want.

Rebranding? Best example ever: TFG is a Christian who believes in God. And you have the disgusting audacity to talk about rebranding? Name a presidential campaign where the candidates didn't shift toward the middle. Save your time because you can't find one. In the last week, TFG has moved toward the center on abortion, IVF, and taxes. And she's only moving to the center on things you all previously branded her as an extreme left liberal. So, you try to set the narrative, then when the record is corrected, you whine like 5 year olds about her shifting or being rebranded. Works with the ill-informed mouth breathers, I suppose, and that's your target demographic.

To be clear, I'm not saying she's been consistent in her views since the beginning of time. MAGA and TFG are taking her statements from 5 - 10 years ago and defining her by that. It's called learning and enhancing your views. Being stuck doesn't help, but your guy is a complete hypocrite and flipping now and recently from what he said a few weeks ago - or at the beginning of the same sentence. And although there are nearly 200 of his former admin involved with Project 2025, he pretends he knows nothing about it. Complete bullshit because he knows it's unpopular because it embraces far right and fascist positions. Stop painting her in a box when you refuse to do the same thing with your boy. Pure definition of hypocrisy.

Everything you say pales in comparison with actual facts. Bye Felecia.
