Chilling.

Why are you no longer presenting on Niccole Wallace's show. More people get the message that way.

It is important to lay down markers, to catalogue events, mark the spreading stain of fascism wherever it is found as well as our national and global efforts to reclaim the primacy of all peoples and nations to establish sovereignty and exist with the expectation of freedom.

It would be revealing and instructive to do a deep dive into the money trails, follwing all of the sinewy pathways, portals, dark alleys and dungeons....we might be disgusted, disheartened, but not truly surprised at what we find. (Loop in the whole DeSantis schmear).

Thank you for all of your continued efforts. Have a fabulous weekend, Steve and community.

And you are also on TikTok which is where many people now sideline msm for their news. TT gets a lot of bad press and needs as many trusted, unsugarcoated facts it can hold. Like any SM—it makes for good practice on critical thinking. Best wishes.

It is important to look back and look at reoccurring patterns. Yes we see a new axis forming and hope we can interrupt before it goes into places. I can think of two leverage points with China but both are bad choices.

On the MAGA 5 th column, follow the money. Who is paying for all the performance politics. It does not come for free.

Final thought on WWII and Lindbergh. When war came and Lindbergh attempted to enlist, he was refused. His alignment with the Nazis made sure he would not wear a US uniform. He did sone work for the then Army Air Force and Navy on extending fighter ranges but he sat out the war: a minor character when there were so many who risked all in the conflict

We were too comfortable for too long. We must be ready for the days ahead

Thanks Steve for speaking clearly on the road ahead.

Oh how I wish you were wrong Steve, but alas I find your Warning to be spot on. The only addition to this new axis of evil that is growing in front of our eyes in my opinion, would be North Korea, and the lunatic that runs it. It was sobering yesterday to see what happened at the UN and who abstained from taking a stand in favor of the people of Ukraine and perhaps more to the point who continues to give support to satanic putin as he continues to murder Ukrainians. Way too much of the developed and developing world is giving tacit support to the murder of the innocent, India for cheap oil for instance. Our sanctions have not had their intended consequences, at least to date. Perhaps we need to be clearer diplomatically that on this issue, there is only one correct position, and that we and those that stand with Ukraine are going to have very, very long memories, and that maybe a look at what the russian state has brought to the table in the last hundred years, and would you really want to align with that, might, just might color a nation’s actions. I get it that there are a number of nations that want to see us weakened, in some cases for good reason, but do they really believe the world order will be improved with this new axis of evil the dominant force. Be very careful what you wish for, especially when you align with murderers.

Your point that a future global conflict will not spare our homeland is spot on, a finger on a button will have the capacity to kill millions, and anyone that thinks it will be confined to somewhere over there is deluded, there are plenty among our enemies that will want to see the horrors of war visited upon us. Our oceans will not protect us from rocket showers, we are not there yet, but that scenario is not implausible and anyone that thinks it is, has their head up their ass.

I am so grateful for the wonderful people who subscribe to The Warning. This community is amazing & I am proud to be a part of it. You & Steve have broken my morning twitter addiction as that platform is near collapse. Come join me at Spoutible (although a few glitches remain) @DrPepper (my nickname was Pepper long before I got the PhD). The Warning is my first morning read so please keep writing daily! Whether you write on your phone or dictate your essays, I’m here for it (though you might consider an iPad...).

My brother, Rick got his subscription for Christmas. I’m still trying to coax him to use Substack.

Thank you all again!

The historical perspectives of your writing and videos are spot on. You highlight that we’ve been here before (different bad actors) and therefore should get some useful perspectives on what it will take to get back to normal - which starts with not ignoring what’s happening around us, the threats won’t go away on their own. Thanks

Who’s to judge, Steve, as I’m reading this on my iPhone as I do everyday first thing in the morning. I had first watched you as a guest on Nicole Wallace and missed your perspective. Glad you’re doing other things but my tech skills are abysmal. Maybe just maybe I’ll advance.

I do enjoy your chats on the topics of the day. They are reminiscent of FDR 's fireside chats I have read about in our history books and heard clips of on the history Channel. We need more Republicans speaking out against Russia and the threat they pose not only in Ukraine but to the rest of Europe. I read the statement that Mitch McConnell put out in support for the administration's efforts to give military support for Ukraine. However, he is outnumbered by many louder voices in their party and his message is being drowned out by loud mouths like Ted Cruz and MTG and other Putin propagandists in our government. I have members of my family and friends who are in the isolation caucus. I believe if not for Fox News echoing Putin's propaganda there would be more support for our supporting Ukraine. My wish is for Biden to give, lend or lease any military equipment that can help Ukraine repel the Russian invaders out of their country, including F16's and other high tech weaponry. Our drip drop approach is taking too long and will only lead to the war lasting longer and for our support to wain out of frustration and cost. Thank you again for your essays and chats. They are informative and needed to keep the focus on support for Ukraine and to drown out the malcontents in our government.

Many of us know people who will say that past generations in the United States have faced similar, intense, and potentially devastating situations like we’re facing now, - but somehow, the United States has always pulled through. We always “find a way”. This particular week however, grabbed me by the throat because the confluence of several events have been more than concerning. For me, the most obvious threat was China’s foreign affairs chief, Wang Yi, gleefully shaking hands with a smiling Putin. We now realize that China MAY supply lethal weapons to Russia. Combine this with the backdrops in Israel, Iran, the China/Taiwan issue, and Russia’s statement about pushing back Poland’s borders (a direct threat against a NATO ally), all while Korea hasn’t stopped hurling their own missiles towards Japan. For the U.S. to skate by all this seems insurmountable. All the while, the propagandists here...just like in the late 1930’s, siding with the opposition and fomenting anti-American, pro-authoritarianism sentiments is greater than ever, thanks to social media and of course, FOX NEWS. What I would like to see is Zelensky sit down with China diplomats, XI Jinping and Wang Yi. It is unfathomable that people like Tucker Carlson and others view and actually label Zelensky as a ‘war-mongerer’; he’s anything but. His country is literally being destroyed by a “confirmed” war-criminal; to NOT see that is to be blind, ignorant, and/or complicit. Zelensky must somehow expand his “talent” for soliciting weapons and financial help, - to convincing China, Iran and North Korea IDEOLOGICALLY that he is a victim of wrongful annexation and he wants to save his country from complete annihilation. Zelensky has to convince these other countries that HE stands upon the moral high-ground, and not Putin. The United States, on the other hand, must remain vigilant on ALL fronts because this is ain’t no ‘dress rehearsal’, - and all threats are real. We must shore-up our domestic defenses and Biden needs to expound better and more loudly WHY we are supporting Ukraine to the extent that we are. He must take to the air-waves the way that Roosevelt did.

Could Steve or someone else knowledgeable reading these comments recommend the best sources for keeping up on events abroad? I read David Ignatius’ column, Thomas Friedman’s column, Foreign Affairs magazine. I’m very interested in keeping up with what is going on in Israel, it seems to be kind of buried. Which is shocking considering what is going on there. 100,000 people protesting and it barely made the news. I’m interested in keeping up on anti democratic movements around the world. I’m interested in keeping up on steps that China, Iran, Russia and others are taking that threaten stability in the world. And the steps that the US and ally’s are taking to support Taiwan. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

It is precisely because of the global dangers to the US that we fully arm Ukraine. By keeping Ukraine on a starvation diet of materiel, the US guarantees the exact thing we don’t want, a protracted war. To date, our policies are reactive - trying to keep up with whatever the Russians are doing - rather than proactive, anticipating Ukraine’s needs and providing for them, fully. Ukraine missed some counteroffensive opportunities this winter, precisely because of lack of materiel. Ukrainian fighter pilots say they can learn to fly American jets in three months. They should be training on them NOW. The coalition of the US, the EU, and NATO will be in danger of collapse if the war in Ukraine becomes protracted. Make no mistake, Putin is counting on this. So are the home grown isolationists.

Really enjoying your YouTube channel Steve. I happily subscribed.

One of my favorite things about YouTube is that I can open the app on my big screen TV! And I can even hear it from the other room if need be. Or I can run it thru my phone and speakers as a podcast. Very versatile. Very thoughtful of you to provide the videos. 👍🏽 And, as always, what you have to say is very important. Keep the faith, Baby... and you can help us keep ours!
