We were raised to always be informed and to be aware of cult mentality. We experienced threats from the John Birch Society in the 1960s. We were able to tell Dad that Trump was convicted before he slipped away. In 2019, Dad said,"I really thought we had ended this ugliness." It was heartbreaking. Glad both parents won't see this. Now it's our turn. NEVER FORGET, BE INFORMED, STAY INVOLVED, LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

The overall economy is doing well, just as you and the Milken Conference participants describe. But lower-income consumers are not doing as well. Their wages are not keeping up with inflation, their ability to pay for the basic elements of a middle-class lifestyle is decreasing, and, consequently, their debt load is increasing. And there are millions more of them than there are of those who are doing well. And a lot of them will be voting in November.

And who is constantly saying it is a hoax and even looking for Oil $ for his campaign in return for squashing Clean Energy initiatives? I think Robert Reich got it right a couple of days ago (https://robertreich.substack.com/p/a-tale-of-two-consumers). The overall economy is doing well, just as you and the Milken Conference participants describe. But lower-income consumers are not doing as well. Their wages are not keeping up with inflation, their ability to pay for the basic elements of a middle-class lifestyle is decreasing, and, consequently, their debt load is increasing. And there are millions more of them than there are of those who are doing well. And a lot of them will be voting in November.

As to media, unless there is a blue wave circa ‘32 nothing changes. Only with an overpowering dem majority will the gop start the purge it desperately needs.
And only with said majority can we reform the Supreme Court, make DC and PR states helping to balance slave vs free (Freudian slip) red vs blue and last and overlooked an adjustment in number of house members for first time since 1921, an overlooked reason of why the house is so polarized, 800,000 to 1 vs 200,000 to 1. Imagine the energy of 800 additional members and how hard it would be to coral and pay them off for votes!
