It seems like the US would/could invest in a counter narrative, a pro-democracy narrative that, using the same tactics, overwhelms the negative talk. Right now so many are afraid to post "liberal democratic" narratives for fear of being pounced upon, or worse, if you are in business, retaliated against (think Jeff Bezos). But if there was already a swelling chorus, more would be useful non-idiots and repost the good stuff. Or come up with it on their own seeing that they aren't "outnumbered" which is what it feels like on social media. The right is so aggressive and mean! So why don't we do the same thing with accurate information about the successes of democracy and the ills of autocracy and oligarchy? It's a real question for you Sasha as you work in such worlds. Why aren't we doing this? And if we are, why aren't we doing MORE of it? Obviously, this sh*t works.
Russia should put that energy into helping her own citizens. Can you imagine how much time and money have been poured into this for decades?
