This embarrassment will not be serving our military, only himself and the oligarchs.

I have been a very active History follower on many levels. History knowledge has improved my Mental and Physical health. It allows you to make Intelligent decisions about current and future decisions that work and understand what will protect you now and in the future. What is disturbing, is Trump lies constantly, and any Honest person should realize that you cannot trust a chronic Liar.

I stopped the recording to make this comment at about the 20 minute point and will return to it. But, I have to note the ongoing failure on Steve's part to acknowledge that the Biden administration supported passage of a bi-partisan border reform bill, which conservative Senator Lankford strongly supported; the bill was blocked when Trump ordered Johnson to not bring it up for a vote:

"The $118 billion bill, called the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, sought significant changes in border policy. It included money to build more border barriers, to greatly expand detention facilities, and to hire more Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents, asylum officers and immigration judges to reduce the years-long backlog in cases to determine asylum eligibility. It sought to expedite the asylum process, essentially ending — in most cases — the so-called “catch and release” policy whereby migrants are released into the U.S. pending asylum hearings. And it would have increased the standard of evidence needed to win asylum status.

The bill also would have supplied more funding to interdict fentanyl and human trafficking, and it included $60 billion in aid for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel."

Biden's economy was not a failure. His administration dealt far better with the COVID caused inflation than other industrialized nations. Legislation was passed to initiate infrastructure repair and updates; legislation was enacted to fight climate change. My criticism is that Biden didn't go as far as progressives in his party desired; legislation to help poor and middle class families and stop the advantages given to the wealthy should have been developed and passed.

Another good point Anthony, I agree that Steve should bring out more information that in its own way is relevant.

Larry, when I went back to the video, Steve almost immediately made the point that the Democratic party needs a 21st c. FDR willing to tell the oligarchs he will stand up for the common people and tell the Musks, Bezos, and Zuckerbergs of America that he "welcomes their hatred." He talks about a new "New Deal." But, he doesn't flesh it out. I would say these goals are critical:

- a total restructuring of income taxes to create a truly progressive tax rate; the elimination of tax loopholes for the wealthy; elimination of most deductions and further simplification

-a single payer national health care system

-government subsidized daycare and parental leave

-the overturning of Citizens United by any means necessary, including increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court to 13

Steve- great conversation with Chris. We owe so much to FDR. He was a blessing. Our candidates for the Pres. nomination should study him especially how he used humor against his opponents. I think he may have been the first President to realize that you had to be a skilled communicator and somewhat of an entertainer in order to win and implement your vision for the country. I love Pres. Biden, but I’m not sure if he understood this. His communications team certainly did not. I followed his Presidency closely and his accomplishments, but I was depressed when I would talk to people about this policy victories and no one knew what the hell I was talking about. Anyway, thanks Steve. I feel like I’m enrolled in a Steve Schmidt master class and it doesn’t cost that much per month- about the same price as a couple cups of coffee at Starbucks here in LA.

So much essential stuff discussed here. I need to listen to it more than once.

I love how Steve weighs his words. He speaks slowly, but with impact. I do not know Chris, but it was a great conversation. I had no idea the Lincoln Project was so gross. I have a subscription with The Warning, but I never gave the Lincoln Project any money, but I have read their stuff and seen their people on the "news"

Take look at this and tell me that a strategy amming for '26 & '28 is the kind of pushback needed in real time. And that immediate organized actions are not required.
