Joe Biden will not be the last American president to speak at Pointe du Hoc, where the 2nd Ranger battalion under the command of Lieutenant Colonel James Earl Rudder scaled the Normandy cliffs to capture the high promontory that jutted out into the Atlantic between Utah and Omaha beaches.
When an American president stands there at the 100th anniversary of the momentous events of that day, they will do so knowing they have enormous shoes to fill, given the magnificence, eloquence, and wisdom of President Biden, who joined Ronald Reagan in helping America remember what must be eternally remembered.
If you haven’t watched President Biden’s speech, I would strongly encourage you to do so:
Thank you for posting this here Steve! It brought me to tears serval times after reading the words and hearing other people praise this speech . He deserves our respect and gratitude and our votes in November!
Wish Biden could get more positive coverage from media outlets. They tend to stress what they think he can’t do rather than what he’s doing!
