I am saying this as a person who has both agreed and disagreed heartily with what Steve presents. At times, I have also wanted more direction. The best advice I have taken from Steve is to read, read, read. None of us have been on the sidelines of a government takeover before. We are mostly one and all searching for a way through, hopefully with our country and citizens intact.
Steve cannot divine the way forward because there isn’t enough information with which to build a solid strategy. Not really, not yet. Can’t give marching orders without a plan.
Many of us see this as a time not to take action but to take stock, to learn, support each other, build new coalitions.
What is happening to our country is a historic catastrophe. These are tectonic shifts that we are witnessing. We may watch this unfolding in silence or we may comment on what we see, every single day.
I see many comments stating that enough is enough. To those folks I suggest that principles and integrity require constantly calling out the excesses of Trump and the fear he induces. Sometimes that requires paying a price. Kowtowing to authoritarianism will only bring more attacks on our freedoms.. History demonstrates that clearly. What is required "in this moment" is unflinching courage and the perseverance to never give in. What Steve brings is truth telling. He speaks the truth and inspires others to have that courage and perseverance. And for that he deserves our gratitude and our support. He certainly has mine.
Steve, the subject you bring up about whether Biden should give out pardons and should they be rejected by thoses that never did anything wrong, that being a sign of true patriotism....it reminds me about Alexei Navalny, who after being in Russian jail, had multiple assassination attempts by poisoning and finally returning back to Russia, knowing full well he would be arrested and convicted to prison...which he was and lost his life doing so....but he did it for his people and country....and that's what I believe the point you're making here is.
