People often vote against their own interests. Ever hear of Log Cabin Republicans? The party platform has never embraced their community, actually have shunned them, and they still support TFG and other Rs. But hey, MAGA and TFG have a true disdain for their supporters other than how they can be used to achieve their goals. so not really a surprise.
Trump and Vance both truly insecure people, both treat women with distain because they are so scared of them that they feel they have to control them. Since Trump is telling everyone they don't need to vote and national media has covered this, do you think the feds, institutions or cops are looking into this and making a plan on how to respond if electors refuse to certify? Asking for my very angry red state that enacted some dangerous laws after losing last time and having 2 blue senators elected.
I believe Trump will attempt to undo the results of a loss by demanding increased and more widespread violence than he did on 1/6. He has said that if he loses it will be because the election was rigged.
I also believe the Biden administration will have the National Guard on standby and be ready to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807, authorizing the use of the military against domestic rebellion.
Finally, I believe, though we will go through some tough times, Harris will be sworn in as president; democracy will overcome the miltant fascist threat.
