I love it! I haven't told you, but my maiden name is Schmidt. Our house always was a "Schmidt Storm". We also were the "Sch_idt" House. lol That was one reason why I always like listening to you on various news shows. I don't know if we are related, but I liked what you had to say.
I was a stoic Republican from the time I was old enough to walk, when my father, who was the precinct committeeman at our polls brought me to the meeting place and let me run around for a bit with a diaper that read, "It's time for a change". Needless to say, politics and working for the betterment of our count was ingrained in me from a young age.
I parted ways with the GOP after 09/11, and instead of working GOP campaigns I ran a John Kerry meet-up. My total separation was when the Tea Party reared it's ugly head, and although I admired and respected John McCain I couldn't support his VP candidate.
There is no better time than now for the "Schmidt Storm" to kick up and wipe out the evil that has invaded our government before it has a chance to demolish it. Go get 'em "cuz". lol
Fantastic analysis of the Trump s*it show. I believe the Republicans will desert Trump once he loses the election. He has just as many enemies in Republican party than he does in the Democratic party. However, his base will keep him relevant until he is convicted in DC case and then in the various State cases. If the DC Judge gets her ducks in a row, the trial will start one week post election. He has escaped justice for too long and needs to be held accountable. Vote Blue up and down the ballot and send all the traitors to democracy home and cleanse Congress floor to ceiling afterwards.

This is that scenario: team trump will contest the election results, even if Kamala wins all 538 electoral college votes, and as soon as the contested election case reaches the existing Supreme Court, it will be game over. There is no way they won’t rule in Don-OLD’s favor. They will twist logic 18 ways to Sunday and make up any kind of bullshit they need to in order to justify their ruling. Or maybe they’ll just tell us Trump won “because we say so”.
Finally I see a tiny sliver of hope here - IF he has enough enemies, maybe they’ll shut down his effort to contest the election results.

We absolutely must prepare for SCOTUS to hand the WH to Trump on a silver platter, no, make that 24K gold platter. We need to stop this from happening, and if we don’t, we’ll need to figure out we’re going to survive and rebel.
Unfortunately, the scenario you describe is all too plausible. A lot depends on how many Repugs refuse to certify the election on January 6. It’s really important to elect a Dem House to keep Mike Johnson from being in charge of the count. He already tried to subvert it in 2021

President Biden will use his unlimited power to declare martial law. This allows him to use the National Guard and regular military to put down any insurrection! I suggest a demonstration by the USAF Warthog aircraft that my cousin told me he watched them decimate 90 Iraqi T-72 tanks in 30 minutes with their Gatling guns firing depleted uranium bullets. I believe that a demonstration will be all it will take for Trump’s Pillsbury Doughboys to decide to surrender. As for the fascist six of the U.S. Kangaroo Court, arrest them as well. Most likely, the R's will find a way to shift the counting of the votes to the House of Representatives where each state gets just one vote.
And if I’m not mistaken, there are more red states than blue, so that’s no different than the Supreme Court installing the felon.
