Superb beautiful photographs reminding us that in the midst of dangerous political chaos we can still take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature and the mysteries of existence. Thanks for sharing the revelation Steve

Smart man you are Steve! We all need a "break" in the action!

Enjoy the calm, it doesn't last long! Thanks for your continued thoughts and inspiration!

Those photos from your garden are beautiful! Why not take a break from the news of the insane occasionally? As a gardener myself, I would love to see more garden photos. Gardening helps keep me sane.

P.S. Are the purple flowers poppies?

I too love the garden photographs. Living first on the western edge of Appalachia, and now on the south-eastern side, I am not sure of these dryer plants.

Ask you anything? How about labeling the photos? Those of us from NC would appreciate it. Please, sir.

Perfect reminder of the importance of respite, and how we may ground ourselves in nature in order to reconnect and rejuvenate.

Steve thank you for the beautiful photos of your garden and your wonderful little doggies. I admire someone like you who continually writes for us, truthfully informing us about this world. It gets overwhelming but you give us hope.

You are correct. All that Steve writes must be said, regardless of how difficult it must be to write and for us to read. I wish more people (not his subscribers) had his passion. Our country would be a much better place if they did.

Great image of you and your pups, Steve. Thanks for sharing!

Also, I so appreciate your steady, sturdy, tenacious, uncompromising campaign to help restore truth and American democracy.

Wish I could see the whole garden. What was pictured is beautiful. I'm into gardening - I live in MD but manage to grow lemons, limes and many cactus. I find peace in gardening. There's a saying.

"Gardening is cheaper than therapy, and you get tomatoes!"

Don't know who said it, but they're right!

This is what you mean by “domestic tranquility and the pursuit of happiness”. So beautiful and so simple. Why does the pursuit of power complicate things so? Thank you for sharing such joy in living beings.

I spend a lot of time in my garden with my three dogs. It is my happy place too.

Sigh. Such a lovely garden. So smart if you to stop trying to make sense to us of the world. Oh to have a place of beauty and solitude for retreat!

My self-care was to stop one of the print newspapers for 2 weeks. Not going anywhere [why is it called a ‘vacation stop’?] - just want less input or that that won’t be in front of me if I so choose.

Thanks for good examples - political, social, life, Steve.
