Judge Roy not only lost his lawsuit, but has been ordered to pay the legal costs for Marc’s team. If you don’t remember anything about Judge Roy Moore of Alabama — no worries, that is a good thing.

I came across the wine country, in BC, and fell in love with its beauty. Vernon, BC., has caught my eye! If possible, I would love to settle there, for my twilight years. To live in a beautiful place, away from the violence, pollution, traffic, and the hurriedness of American life, not to mention the politics, sounds like heaven to me!
Yea, I was first looking at Alberta, mainly Calgary, and Red Deer. However, when I heard that they wanted to be a part of America, because of their oil, I quickly changed my mind!
I would rather have Neil Young visit me! He and I share a birthday; "Ohio" changed my political life; and "Helpless", to me, sums up the beauty of fall in Ontario, Canada!
My next trip is to be a train trip across Canada from Coast to Coast - but with a good stop in Banff & Jasper National Parks.
While climbing a mountain in Banff on a previous trip, my friend and I got caught between a mother Mountain Goat and her two little goats. Rather scary, but fun. We did manage to escape to the side so she could run down to her little babies. So all was well.
In Jasper, we went horseback riding to the beautiful azure lake. I was used to riding because I had a horse as a young girl, but my citified Edinburgh husband not so much. His horse kept wandering off in all directions, chomping at the grass, and generally ignoring the rider on his back.
(Sort of like Trump and the Congress).
But we made it to the Lake - the beautiful, beautiful Lake. Great Fun!
Without question, one of the most beautiful areas in North America, and for that matter, on the face of the Earth. Looking to plan a trip back up there after first stopping in glacier national Park. It’s almost enough to help us forget the mess we leave behind in our country.

After several hurtles, since I don't know anything about my biological parents, I got the acceptable birth certificate from Quebec, where I was born, to replace my "Act of Baptism", that I had, and then I was able to get my Certificate of Citizenship! I now have legal proof that I am a Canadian citizen! I have also received a Canadian passport. I am prepared to head North, to visit my homeland; and if things go further downhill in frump's America, I hope to move there!

It has been a long journey for me, Anthony. My adopted father told me that because I was a naturalized citizen, I had to give up my Canadian citizenship. He was wrong. We have neighbors who were from Canada, and they told me that "once a Canadian, always a Canadian". When frump and his Russian wife, went down the escalator, I just had a feeling he was dangerous. So I started to investigate to see if I could get my Certificate of Citizenship. It was difficult going through the "red tape", and not knowing my biological family, or anyone who lived in Canada. Being born in the Fifties, I had an "old" birth certificate, called "Act of Baptism" from Quebec Providence. The Canadian government no longer accepted the "Act of Baptism", so I had to apply for the "newer" version of the Quebec birth certificate. That took a while; all the while, frump was gaining popularity, and then, unbelievably, became POTUS! After receiving the "correct" birth certificate, I had to reapply for the Certificate of Citizenship Each time, I had to sent all of my original papers! I kept praying that they wouldn't get lost! If I lost those papers, I lost my legal identity! All in all, it took me five years, of going back and forth, but I finally received the certificate! I tell you Anthony, I didn't expect it to be such an emotional event. When I finally held it in my hands; I finally had a connection to my biological Canadian family, my heritage, and my homeland! I take as much pride of that certificate, as I do with my naturalized citizenship! It bridged my Canadian family with my American family! Applying for the Canadian passport is another story of hurtles, but thank God, I received that too! Now, I just need to go to Canada!

Words uttered to Joe McCarthy during his Commie investigations in the 1950's but nowadays one could ask the same of the entire fascist Republican organization. They have consistently turned askance when it comes to their felon Der Fuhrer with all his sexcapades with his BFF Epstein, let alone the other Congressional scandals. But it's the blatant hypocrisy. victimhood, and "it's only an allegation" that gets them the trophy. They have created a well worn path to moral turpitude where there is no floor to immoral behavior if it gets them votes and power.
Now admittedly the Democrats have had some problems as well, most recently the unvetted Platner, but it seems like they have at least superficially been willing to correct course.
The point is that there seems to be a course shifting in the American electorate, a moral reckoning, where the leading topic like in Hungary, is an intolerance to brazen outright corruption. This moral awakening is unleashing an angry electorate demanding campaign finance reform and an insistence that it's not ok for business as ususal. The Democrats have failed to "read the room" and have been asleep at the wheel when it comes to this demand for morality and in so doing are complicit.
The Dems have their problems, that is for sure. However, the MAGAs are worse, and even those on the right are feeling uneasy. As Dylon so eloquently put it: "times, they are a changing"!
