Nice job Steve, this message of yours about Trump’s mental state and his obvious cognitive decline is so important. It is extremely disconcerting that it is not taken up by the mainstream media. Please keep banging the drum, I am not sure whether there is a more important voice or message than yours at this moment.

Interesting code Trump uses to his faithful: Robert E. Lee is no longer in favor. Sounds like a sad thing.

I’ll leave the faithful with something better, a quote from Herman Munster: what matters is the strength of your character and the size of your heart.

I would also like to encourage everyone to visit the Gettysburg battlefield. It must be visited in the same solemn manner one has when visiting Arlington or the American cemetery in Normandy. The ground was literally soaked with the blood of thousands of soldiers, mostly Confederates, who were foolishly sacrificed by the abominable arrogance of General Robert E. Lee for no good reason whatsoever. It is a humbling experience to learn how Chamberlain led his Union soldiers when ammunition ran out to fix bayonets and sweep Hood’s Confederate soldiers off the hill by running down the hill toward them as they attempted a last charge up the hill. We are free because soldiers like those who won that battle.

Another kickass commentary. I certainly hope you’re correct in your assessment that Trump will not prevail and be elected again. This stench of a man. During the same rally, even to the consternation of the brainwashed behind him, he intoned “bleahflapmushhhh” or something very similar. I realized the other day that I have a pall of dread hanging over me daily. It’s because of the impending election and the hideous possibility that the stench could once again be elected. That the US will become a failed nation for decades and generations to come. I don’t think I’m alone in my dread.

Very eloquent, Steve as usual. In addition, I'd like to recommend everyone watch Jimmy Kimmel on his show last night. He jokes about trump who, "always sounds like a kid who forgot he has an oral report due on that day." He shows the video of trump's speech about General Lee, then has a transcript of it on a blackboard brought out, which he reads in a way that shows how completely incoherent and insane it sounds to any rational person. It's funny, but sobering.

Trump's "...thermonuclear ignorance!" Ha! Whatta a brilliant qualification of the depth of #DontheCon's knowledge about...anything.

The corresponding video clip shows a bunch of people behind tRUMP, utterly bored sh*tless and achieving their only goal: to be seen on TV so that they can run back to their small town and play celebrity for the night. "Look at me! I was on TV!" And then they'll send him their hard-earned money only to whine to anyone who will listen about how much groceries cost.

Well, MAGATs, when you've given 10%, 20% or 30%, or more, of your income away to a thief so that he can pay his lawyers bills, your budget is gonna be tighter than the band around #DontheCon's Depends.

Wake the f*ck up!

Steve, your titles and graphics on 'The Warning' videos are superb! Are you creating these? Love that Trump pirate and "Never Vote For A Crazy Man, Me Boys!" Then you bring the hammer down on TFG/MAGA, hard-hitting knock-out punches. We need this! Trump is a danger to global democracy. The wolves ARE watching as the USA has been destabilized. Keep hitting hard. Thanks!

I love it. Trump is so stupid. I wonder where Stephen Miller got that quote to put on Trump's teleprompter. Can you just see Trump, walking the hallowed grounds of that battlefield with his son Baron and wife Melania, quietly taking in the poignant scene across Cemetery Ridge and then saying. "I wonder why Lee attacked uphill?"

Very nice, Steve. The willingness of the ignorant in America--and there are plenty of them--to listen to and be swayed by Donald Trump is dismaying; but the idiocy and venality of educated people who are willing to support Trump is beyond my comprehension. And yet I have friends and family among the latter. It has been apparent at least since 2016 that Trump accuses others falsely of the failings and sins he himself is beset by--yet journalists for the most part simply quote him rather than point out the irony. Thank you for underscoring it here so brightly.

Steve Schmidt's rhetorical and oratorial talent is AMPLY obvious. This is a beautiful monolugue, superbly delivered. I say YES! to all he ever says

I examined it, just now, today, how he delivers his monologues, to see how he makes his monlogues so powerful: This is his technique:

first, he closes his mouth and becomes arrow still, quiet for a second of two, and after he does that , he talks again, never shouting or raising his voice. Second, he closes his mouth only after a Subject is uttered ( of one word or a phrase), and keeps his mouth closed in what is a slightly cocked angle of the head, as still as a tree squirrel watching us,) and then lets go with what is always an interesting thought for his viewers to consider. His tone of voice is clear and strong and masculine., yet that is unimportant, because Lincoln's voice was high, nasal, tweedy, and annoying.

So tone doesn't matter. It's content. No one can ever match Lincoln's moral genius and leadership, and that was what mattered.

With Steve, too, what matters is content. Steve has content. It is ineffectual content to MAGA, and only adored by Steve's fans; of whom I am one..

I am sure, absolutely sure, not one MAGA person will ever hear him, and if they did, they would blow him off as an idiot, just like Steve says the people at Trump's rallies are idiots, but unlike MAGA, he says it in a nicer way: they are " impercipient" (my word) drones, they are "surrended, minds" and acquiescent slaves to Trump..

We all talk past each other now. It's to late to discuss anything. At a certain point, all nations lose their utility for discussion and develope hard headed sides that no longer listen to each other.

Steve contines to act like he is making a diffefrence, but he is only affecting his fans, of who I am one.. No one can affect the other's camping grounds anymore. It is too late. Not even Mark Twain can change the way we are headed. We are on our merry way.

We shall see what we shall see.

Steve tells it like it is and turned my frown upside down today. Thank you, as always. Remember kids, never vote for a crazy person.

Trump says “Never fight uphill, me boys” like it’s something they teach at US Army Command and General Staff College. More likely, it’s a distorted echo of something Trump learned at military boarding school. Fighting uphill is hard, but since defenders know to dig in on high ground, attacking uphill happens often in war. Just across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial is a memorial to men who attacked and fought their way uphill. It is the Marine Corp Memorial, depicting marines raising the American flag on top of Mount Suribachi on IwoJima. Attacking uphill is hard, but sometimes, it’s the only path to victory.

Once again thank you Steve. This is all so surreal. Who would hear his gibberish and not say "what an absolute fool"? The lack of a healthy individual perspective is a cult.

Grrreat! thank you.

It would be nice to have the clips of Trump’s “Gettysburg Address” followed by Lincoln’s, which you have described so powerfully.

When will the media stop recording and amplifying Trumps lies? Cut him off when he goes off the rails. The frustrating thing is that Trumps cult are intelligent enough to know he is lying or they simply don’t care.

Either way our country has a serious problem with lack of even adequate education and simply low level IQ.
