If we consider the fact that this is the elected leadership of the United States, we must understand that the United States is abandoning its military people serving abroad and on the seas, while spending $20 million at home to purchase electroshock gloves that will surely be used to torture women and children. Disgrace is not a sufficient enough word for this country.
More on just how disgusting Trump, his enablers and supporters are:
Does the out-of-touch moron-in-chief think any rational people believe the following crap? And why is he dwelling on the thought of young and beautiful women? Does he not realize that, combined with his Hollywood tape comments, his deep friendship with Epstein and Maxwell, and his liability in the sexual assault on E. Jean Carol that he is revealing himself as the perverted man he is?:
“Every day I come to the White House, people are thanking me. ‘Thank you, sir! Thank you! Thank you, sir!’ These young, beautiful girls, these young, beautiful girls, these young, beautiful girls in the White House.
“You know, they come in. Now, I’m not supposed to say ‘beautiful,’ but what the hell. These young, these gorgeous, beautiful girls, they’re young. They wanna be safe, and they come, ‘Mr. President, may I speak to you?’ Yes! ‘Thank you, sir! Thank you!’
“I said, ‘Why are you thanking me?’ ‘Because a year and a half ago, I was afraid to leave — I was afraid to open the door of my apartment, and now I walk to the White House every morning, and I have absolutely no — thank you, sir!’” – Trump, speaking today at a rally for MAGA New York gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman.
I say F&*k you, not sir, but you filthy piece of destructive,, odiferous contemptible shit!
The never ending cruelty, stupidity, irrationality, and deceit of Trump and his enablers is reflected in ICE’s purchase of “shock” gloves…with our money:
Compliant Technologies was founded in 2018 by Jeff Niklaus [photo], a former Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot in Afghanistan and Somalia, who believes that President Donald Trump has been “anointed” by God. He is also a sometime conspiracy theorist: In a podcast interview in 2025, he blamed the fatal crash of a passenger plane and a military helicopter on “the vaccines,” and on the Biden administration’s inclusion of women and LGBTQ people in the military.
In an interview with the International Law Enforcement Educators & Trainers Association last month, Niklaus said he was inspired to start his company after participating in the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, on which the book Black Hawk Down is based.
Assistant Chief Adam Glueck, of the Cape Girardeau Police Department in southeastern Missouri, purchased electric shock gloves for his officers after learning about them at a trade show. And his employees, he said, couldn’t get enough of them. “They’ve grown really attached.” The shock gloves, he went on to explain, allow their wearer to inflict pain without leaving the sort of marks that could look bad to witnesses or leave an officer vulnerable to lawsuits.
while he's focused on his fucking ballroom and getting his name on the Kennedy Center. There has never in our history been a more deplorable vile and disgusting human being as president.
I am unable to create prose that describe my anger at Mr. Trump for his “leadership” and his administration. This is his and he owns every incompetent, greedy, selfish, self aggrandizing policy and action. Equally responsible are those who put him into and support him as President. I am physically and mentally sick with anger. We must win in November and he and his minions must be held accountable.
There is no “leadership” involved here. This is a dictatorship and it is not a benevolent one unless you are on TFG's team. TFG doesn't lead, he tells all of us what to do. And it all redounds only to his favor.
What an amazing read. Thank you Steve Schmidt for being a warrior in ink for all of us. It’s time for big courage and no one will do it for us. We must all stand up and walk.
What a disgrace. The stench of magafascists is everywhere. I will never forgive this despicable man and his toadies for destroying the country with their poison, all for more dirty money and power for people who don't need it. Worse, for infecting the many people, including my own family, with hate and division
I am crying, not weeping, crying. My maternal gma, and her son, both were paraplegic, confined to wheel chairs or dependent upon others for their mobility unless they crawled along the floor or ground. I was a small boy then, spending hours on gma's lap as we rolled around the big old house doing chores. I experienced the grit and courage it took to do that. Steve, what a truly remarkable story of dignity and sand and loyalty and friendship between two former foes. In front of all the sailors who took orders from them, saluted them, pledged the same oath of loyalty to country as they did. My dad was in London for 4 years, being bombed almost daily. His dad, my paternal gpa, was a doughboy in WW1. My uncle was a belly gunner on a B29. My birthstar classmate in high school came back from Nam in a box. I despise all wars, all bloodshed, all miserable failures to come to agreements that avoid wars. The pathetic caricature of a human now posing as commander in chief disgraces everyone, soldier, sailor, marine, hawk, dove, pacifist, fighter. But yet, it is the most massive disgrace of all. FDR -- his shadow obliterates any and all in the neo-Nazi/fascist cabal that panders to violence and bigotry by the hour. Life is hard for most, it is harder still without dignity.
Steve Schmidt: "No recognition that sailors are human beings rather than pieces of government equipment."
FDR: The ultimate winner
Trump: The biggest loser
Any man who views others as expendable commodities to be used to attain his goals is a loser in life for he can never enjoy the greatest pleasures which we as social animals are capable, loving each other and enjoying the company of others while conversing and marveling at the simple pleasures of life that nature so bountifully provides.
They have no souls or compassion for their fellow humans. They look at those that don't or can't give 100% to the MAGANAZI party as " useless eaters " and dead beats.
Why don’t the ignorant, gullible and deluded of this country let the scales fall from their eyes and recognize the evil this man and his sycophants are doing to our nation. More than ever, our democracy needs a leader of FDR’s stature.
Marvelous!! This brought tears, Steve. No comparison between the two men. One beloved and revered, the other a sham of a man who is reviled. Well said. Thank you for this historical reminder.

The people who voted for him are as awful as he is. Many are active supporters of him. Others cannot vote for this and then wash your hands of it.
agree. Very distressing to find out so many fellow Americans follow and approve of this.
This is an excellent piece

I'm pi$$ed off too. I'm too old for this $h!t.
When the Abraham Lincoln comes into the harbor, I hope there are a few hundred Americans on the dock welcoming them home with dignity.
and I hope they sing like canaries to the press.

Absolutely spellbinding. Your masterpiece.
Dignity. Something our “leaders” do not have. Nor honor nor empathy nor humanity.
Selfishness and greed.
That’s not leadership.
Thank you for this reminder that great men have been our leaders in the past and that our nation is being destroyed by the egomaniacs.
What a great contrast. Trump will forever be our eternal shame!
Outstanding!
