I’m not convinced the Senate will reject any of these nominations. Take Thom Tillis of North Carolina. This clown likes to portray himself as independent of MAGA, the adult in the room. Take a look at his voting record. He went 99 percent of the time with Trump during the first term— on anything. As we like to say in New Jersey, don’t piss on my face and tell me it is raining.

I sadly agree. I think all of these misfits, including RFK, Gaetz, and Hesgeth will be confirmed. We will hit bottom before we can begin to recover.

Fabulous post today Steve. General MacArthur's speech had me in tears. "Duty, Honor and Country." Don't think I've heard 3 more beautiful words. I've pretty much decided I'm an idealogue through and through too. Goes back to my long ago days of reading every Tom Clancy

Book and feeling the pride of this great nation.

I will step up. I will do what I can. I will resist with every Fiber of my being. I will.speak out against evil when I see it. I will resist non-violently. Love you Steve and all of you dear friends. We can do this!! And I'n leaving a beautiful song for your Sunday too. ❤️🇺🇸💙

Wow.Amazing.There are people, sadly few and far between, who really understand what Duty,Honor,Country really mean,in this day and age.

It is my hope that our military will keep those words in mind when they would be expected to launch attacks on their own Countrymen and women,at the behest of a man who has no earthly idea of what Duty or Honor are,and is only petty and vengeful.

Thank you,Steve, for giving us this rousing speech from another era.

The man going into the WH next January is the total opposite of every word General MacArthur stated in that beautiful speech, yet this villain will be in charge of our country.

Writing this sentence actually makes me sick to my stomach.

Incredible speech by MacArthur. It literally gave me the chills. My family is from Cornwall, NY, which is just down the road from West Point. My uncle graduated from West Point and was a Green Beret in Vietnam. Today, he is in the MAGA/QAnon Corps. Insane.

Steve, have you thought to organize or cause to gather any of your followers, subscribed or otherwise, to have a contact(s) for those interested in gathering for peaceful protests against the ‘Trump Regime’ be it for his highly questionable and possibly criminal cabinet picks or other criminal like behavior toward the American citizens, as against law and order; protecting/protesting for those immigrants that have been living in the US, and are made American citizens, these shouldn’t be made to leave. Trump is on a runaway train to ruin America, economically, militarily, legally and demolish or depower Democracy and those members of NATO…because Trump’s boss, Putin hates US and wants USA destroyed…

Thank you for sharing the General MacArthur speech. I wish my dad and my uncles that served in WWII were here to listen to it. My father served 42 more years in the Army reserves.

I have heard enough insulting of democrats. I respect Stacey Abraham and I am glad to see her in anything with the democratic party.

Please share who you think should have that position.

MacArthur had a legacy that few can agree on. He was in command roles in the largest wars of the last century. He was born on an Army base and died in an Army hospital. Biographers seem not to agree on his military record, but they do agree that his stewardship of Japan after the war was done spectacularly well.

I was a tenured teacher. I was fired for speaking out. I’m waiting for the evil that we know is coming to make people desperate enough to listen to a teacher. I get that we’re a nation that doesn’t respect its teachers, and I know why, so it will take time for you to listen to me, but when you do I promise you’ll wish you had sooner.

When you’re ready to understand how democracy and values imploded in America go to WhiteChalkCrime.com and listen to a 2019 podcast of five teacher whistleblowers speaking about what’s going on in our schools. It includes a teacher criminally indicted for trying to prevent a Columbine. Hear him speak.

Had the Democrats done something about teachers’ unions going along to get along we might have elected a person wanting to save democracy. We might have not had the Uvalde massacre.

School shootings are red flags saying “Help, something is wrong with our schools.” Until you listen to teachers with the courage to tell you what’s really going on in our democracy’s foundation, expect things to get worse. You think you know. You don’t. You need insiders to know.

People realize that disinformation brought us here, but they don’t know we’ve had school as capable to prepare citizens as Matt Gaetz is prepared to lead the DOJ. Until you listen to those of us blowing the whistle on education, prepare to accept the hell coming our way.

Abraham Lincoln correctly said, "The philosophy of the school room in one generation, will be the philosophy of government in the next."

He got that right! Learn from teachers who will talk. You can’t solve a problem when you don’t know its root cause. .

Steve: Fine words about the general, who certainly gave a wonderful speech. However, as a general, he failed many times, and was a supreme egotist., rehearsing his landing in the Philippines over and over until the photographers got it 'right'. He was also in insubordinate to the civil power, and so reckless that he almost dragged our country into a much wider war with the Chinese, who had been our allies a few years before! His role in putting down the 1930's World War 1 veterans' march in Washington DC for their promised bonuses should also be remembered with great distaste,

We and by this I mean to include you, are decent, but often misled people who still bow to a leadership which invariably resorts to the use of force as the ultimate means of solving the problems we men create.

One question.

Do you think women would find the same solution?

We must look like saps and pushovers to our enemies. A dangerous world and we’re putting in charge of our most important intelligence work to a Putin operative, and to our national defense a Fox personality devoid of rational thought. Elections do have consequences.

And, BTW, my sibling is retired, 35 years from the Army. Our dad was a HS teacher. I'm still in public service--after 8 years in small business including two successful starts--32 years serving the public at the state and local levels. Totally love helping folks.
