Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) continued her streak of extreme rhetoric by throwing racist remarks towards Rep. Jasmine Crockett, the freshman Democratic congresswoman from Texas. Crockett then asked the House Oversight Chair where he would draw the line for condemning personal attacks. That's when the phrase "Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body" was born. I explain why Crockett's question was not a personal attack, but a brilliantly asked legal question and a quick-witted way to call out Republican hypocrisy. But this isn't the first time Rep. Crockett has called out things as she sees them…
I watched this earlier on YouTube, Steve, and I thought you did a good job in breaking things down.
I first wanted to say I hope I never have to step foot in Greene’s district. But then I thought about my state — we elected a man who hates women, gay people, and Jews as Lieutenant Governor. By 300,000 votes. Clearly, I don’t have much to stand on when saying Greene’s district is an abomination for sending her to Congress.
That said, I hope to live long enough to cast a vote for Jasmine Crockett for President.
The last thing I saw about this MAGA Moron is he did not file a Federal Income Tax return for five years. He’s got a big mouth about telling others how to live, though.
Love Crockette. If we had more Dem politicians like her I bet you money, the nasty hypocrite magas would think twice before they open their ignorant mouths. Send money to blue candidates who have a good shot at flipping a seat. Winning is what we need right now then rub their fking noses in it, add more Supreme court judges and get rid of the filibuster. Fk them

This passive deference in MSM has allowed the middle voters in America to not be sure there was an insurrection attempt on January 6. Allows to many to think: “things aren’t fabulous - maybe it’s time to vote for a change” not realizing they would be consigning they and their children to an authoritarian, repressive regime for the rest of their lives.
After the Jan 6 Commission hearings, for example, when it was clear that nearly everyone in Trump’s circle contended he’d lost the election, not to mention 60 of 61 fraud suits in our courts, no self-respecting, or at least patriotic journalist should ever say that “Donald Trump believes he won the 2020 election.” The only accurate verbiage is that “he says he believes…” or “he contends that he believes…”.
No doubt, journalists being true to reality when Trump would prefer at least passive deference creates sh*t storms of complaints and sponsors banning from the hard right. HOWEVER, if after, those 2022 hearings, MSM dropped starkly inaccurate and dangerous deferential verbiage and clenching their 4th estate jaws, rode it out at that time, we’d be past that line of passive deference. Perhaps we wouldn’t be faced with, as you highlight, the alarming specter of confusing, “pox on both their houses” premises underlying the moderation of the upcoming presidential debates. The chairman of the committee, James Comer of Kentucky, was clueless--suddenly his Greene attack dog from Georgia was overmatched. I wasn't as frustrated by Tapper's interview as you were, though, Steve. Quick exchanges in unabashed Southern dialects can be hard to hear even for Southerners like me. Jake Tapper gave Jasmine Crockett an opportunity to slow the moment down and explain how her response to Greene's "eyelash" slur probed and clarified the utter dissolution of respectful--even intelligible?--exchanges in the House committee. (Ad hominem insults stripped down to ad mulier repartee!) Your report on Crockett's past candid moments in Congress also helped.
