Steve, I am really interested in how your conversion to Judaism influences your political thinking. I converted years ago and love Judaism. I am especially intrigued by early Reform rabbis at the turn of the century and their making of American Jews. I have some marvelous sermons I could share with you from the early 1900s on Lincoln, Living Wage, Immigration from Rabbi J. Leonard Levy. He writes as well as you and with passion of the promise of America.
You have said when someone tells you who they are to believe them. Right? My question I’d like you to answer is when, God willing, the orange hustler from Queens is indicted what happens next? I believe the MAGA militias will start attacking.But, where or what? And do you believe the US Military will be able to put the insurrection down? I live in such a red Texas county that in 2020 trump got over 7,000 votes and Biden got just over 700. The local gun store is called “Build a Gun” with an outline of an assault style rifle.

I’m not sure my last comment is right. To leave trump to his own devices, would allow this hardened criminal, his criminal family and the rest of the accomplice’s free reign. But will we ever be able to effect any kind of accountability on these secretive entities that operate in the garbage dump of wealth and power while we are thrown a few scraps of information to chase after? I just hope the DOJ is up to the task because trump needs to be taken down as complete as possible.
