What was at we used to say in rugby- age and cunning over youth and speed, or something, but we were deluding ourselves in any event...

The youth energy in general and with respect to getting out the vote, etc, has been tremendous. Also, the younger set us determined and smart and feisty, and we need them...

Just watched it. Fantastic!!! When I was younger than Victor Shi the first time I read the translation of this book https://www.amazon.com/Truth-About-Eichmanns-Inferno-Auschwitz/dp/B000MPBTAI. It had a profound effect on me. The party and people responsible for January 6th are very dangerous.

This podcast with Victor Shi was wonderful. It gives me hope for our young people.

Yes! To as many young people as possible!! Steve, perhaps you would consider a reach out to Pro Democracy groups on college campuses to get the word out about The Warning, maybe scheduling town hall discussions by zoom or in person to spread the truth..

Are there members of this community who have relationships with colleges or colleagues ๏ฟผin academia who could help in this effort? Just a thought..

Steve,

Geez louise. That large diaphragm mic looks, uh, bannonish. You will notice that your sound is dramatically inferior to Victor's. That is because the mic is closer to his mouth and he is not in a "hard" room. The large mic you used is picking up as much echo from hard surfaces in your room as it is your direct voice. One thing to remember, microphones do not hear the same way that ears do. You can find somebody to help you with this, not hard to fix. I hope Victor's audience will be able to hang on and concentrate, to understand what you said. I haven't seen you in that location before, with the almost big enough projection screen behind you. Maybe it wasn't your setup. The echo is mostly from the hard room and the mic pickup pattern.

Sending out, started getting out yesterday to hs and college students. Thank you! And another request for the Lafeyette opening segment from last week's webinair, cut down as a brief clip to send to young people. Thanks much...happy to help by being a conduit to spread this important information.

So glad the youngers get to hear your voice. The Fascist movement is largely a youth movement. The antiabortion movement is largely a youth movement. I believe this is because HS/JR/middle school education in either public or private schools is a farce when it comes to the teaching of American history and government. The youth are not armed with information that would make them resistant to being coopted by the adult fringe. I cringe at the thought of how the two-party system is being taught at this very movement. There are armies of youth out there, I just hope the army of the sane and good outnumber the others.

Great discussion with Steve on Victor's "On the Move". Today's kids might not have the perspective of knowing people that fought in WWII, but they do have enough perspective to know jerk-offs from serious people, and they understand corruption and they don't like it, which might be why they are apathetic about politics. Maybe that's why all young people of every generation start out being apathetic, as I was nearly 40 years ago, growing into adulthood after 2 terms of Reagan. I probably connected to Conservatism just because Reagan ended the Soviet Union, but really I was apathetic about most issues and didn't have any idea about the details of Reaganomics, trickle-down economics, the tax reforms, the stock buy-back reforms, and all the transformative economic changes that resulted in the destruction of the manufacturing base in America and derailed most of the middle class in the process. The upwards mobility trend enjoyed by Americans since the Great Depression ,came to a screeching halt with Conservative business-first mentality and disastrous policies that were put in place under Reagan. I don't know if Reagan even knew what he was doing economically, I didn't know his politics in CA and even now I'm not sure he was all that bright, so it's unclear whether he was really a thought leader or just the leader of the moment and maybe it would have been the same regardless of who the republican President was at the time, it could have easily have been others like George Bush sooner, John Anderson, Howard Baker, Bob Dole, or imagine the Handmade's Tale dystopia that we would be now be enduring if Pat Robertson had been more of a Wall Street-connected candidate, or if he had a vacation home on Lake Winnipesauke and had won the New Hampshire primary as the primary leader coming out of Iowa. So there's perspective that young people don't have, and that's the same for each generation, but today's young adults are savvy. They have access to so much more information than their parents had at a similar age. It appears they are not as religious, but they do connect with spiritualism. Think about it, they have learned life-lessons from three massively popular dystopian worlds: Star Wars, Harry Potter and Hunger Games. And those lessons put them in a good position in today's precarious political situation that Steve described in this discussion. Young people understand fairness and right and wrong. They distrust Establishment forces, like Wall St, Religion, Washington, and they hate corruption. So one thing the Democrats need to do before the next Presidential cycle is to self-regulate on Insider Trading, and appearances are just as important as any actual wrong doing. No Democratic Congress or Senate members should trade any individual stocks while in office, and no Democratic Presidential candidates or party Leaders should own any individual stocks - period. So Nancy Pelosi cannot be the face of the Democratic Party in 2024, she is Establishment and has too many family connections with Wall St. This is the kind of purist approaches that will be necessary to win the vote of the younger generation in 2024 and beyond. Anti-corruption is the key tenant of their political identity. And they understand Rebellion. They are more willing to rebel against authority than any other generation since the American Colonists of 1775. And that might be a good thing, because they might be going up against conservative forces with much more darkness that anything the British were doing to the colonies in the 18th century, and the consequences may be just as serious. But the amazing thing is that young people are ready for existential conflicts, they have grown up imagining they were battling the forces of evil, they are smart, connected to each other, and ready for this fight.
