Before we get to today’s The Warning piece, I’d like to do a shout-out to one of our most loyal and passionate community members: Lisa Beardsley. Lisa has followed The Warning since its inception, contributing to so many important discussions. She has established deep connections and friendships with many members of our community. She always makes sure that I’m apprised of life events for some of our most engaged members, including those who are facing medical challenges and deaths in their own families. Lisa has also been very open about the costs of MAGA radicalization, which has broken up her own family, and how it is that she has dealt — and continues to deal — with this.
Lisa happens to be an exceptional artist. I wanted to share her talent with all of you. Here she is at a No Kings Day protest in Missoula, Montana, with this sign that she created:

The split screen speaks volumes
Donald Trump’s great parade was a sparsely attended snoozefest that made Little Marco yawn and lulled Melania to sleep. All the while, America’s soldiers were made to forcibly march past their loathsome commander in chief and buffoonish defense secretary.
Meanwhile June 14, 2025, became the largest day of protest in American history.
Millions of Americans took to the streets peacefully, righteously and patriotically across all 50 states in thousands of cities, town and villages.
The split screen images spoke volumes.
Donald seethed and raged, and then exploded yesterday with another unhinged proclamation. He demands violence and payback against American cities, where his support is anemic, and his policies are being repudiated.

We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city.
What is the meaning of all this?
Donald Trump has given orders for the US military and masked federal agents to invade American states with Democratic governors and legislatures.
He has declared war on America from the White House.
What other interpretation is there?
The United States of America stands at a crossroads at the beginning of a long and difficult summer of mayhem, rage and violence. It has been instigated by an American fascist who sits in the White House with a 49.8 percent mandate, and believes that he is Caesar, when in fact he is Nero.
Surrounded by a dangerous phalanx of sycophants, extremists, incompetents, conspiracy theorists and mentally ill individuals, Trump has lost touch with reality and his place within it. Fueled by rage and failure his hatreds are growing as his failures pile up.
There is chaos all over the world. It is being driven by Donald Trump, who has loosened the bolts that hold everything together.

There are 50 days remaining before the American people choose the 47th president of the United States. There will be chaos, danger and violence ahead. The cause of the mayhem is singular when it is deconstructed and reverse-engineered. The age of malice has been the vision, work and achievement of Donald Trump, whose rottenness, low character, meanness …
It has come to pass.
There are millions on the street.
Now it is time to begin harnessing the power of the American people, who have been woken from a long season of slumber and indifference.
What Donald Trump was told in no uncertain terms this weekend by millions of us is that we will not stand for this insanity, and we will never bow down to him. Ever.
The fight ahead is going to be epic. We will prevail.
Have faith, and do not be afraid.
Be an American.
That is what is required right now.
Our country’s future depends on people seeing what is happening.
It is time for all Americans to open their eyes and be wide awake.
I am glad to see white haired women and men are no longer the majority of protest!
Some wanted us old people to be denied health care during COVID. They said WE would gladly forego treatment so younger people could live. Well, I think us Boomers and Resisters of the 60's, 70's and 80's have protest, rebellion in our DNA and you need to stop casting us a trump/GOP followers.
In my experience, the only oldsters that suppport trump/GOP are the really wealthy ones and they are a minority of us.
I'm old and proud and will RESIST until WE win or I die!
Our small town in Marquette, Michigan showed up with thousands in a joyful protest on Saturday. And at each rally/protest, we collect food from community members for our local food banks. We collected hundreds of pounds of food, toiletries, household products, etc. at the No Kings event,plus, we do collections at our weekly meetings. What has the “other side” done? Spread hate and violence. We will win.
