I know this is off topic but it has become abundantly clear that our justice system is totally broken. It’s not equal justice for all nor is justice blind.
I am at the point of being despondent that the system has given us judges like Aileen Cannon. Secondly, that you get only as much “justice “ as you can afford. From the cost of good attorneys , to the ability to delay cases in oblivion. Trump will never be tried for the cases that mattered.
First the inept Barney Fife Garland failing to initiate indictments because of “ appearances “ rather than the law. Second the Georgia case has simple fact to adjudicate yet the DA made it into a burlesque show and exhibited poor judgment from indicating 19 people to sleeping with one of her hires. Now this case will be delayed in oblivion.
The third is Mir a Lago. Aileen Cannon who had already be found to be bias and incompetent is allowed and not even challenged to be removed from the case. Now this case will never be heard.
Delay, frivolous motions, nonsensical appeals ultimately resulting in a failure to adjudicate cases that need to be adjudicated.
This is achieved because of money. Trump is aided and abetted by the RNC, donations from his cult and billionaires who will want a “favor” for their money. Money and position can buy as much justice as they need. From the rest of us, we pay the price for them.
Are you at all concerned that, if elected, he would put you on an enemy list and come after you and your family? If not, how do you reconcile the threats given the master plan? Given the current economic state of affairs as measured since 2001- we are in a really awful predicament and I am not confident it will get that much better before this next election cycle. The war is likely to broaden, given the tactics of Israel's response are not likely to change. These are all potentially going to further contribute to the election of the evil and maniacal Trump. Then what? What is paradigm of change do you think will shift the momentum towards Biden?
I was glad to see you address the "AHI" issue. It appears to me that the "Responsible Authorities," whoever they might be (which is itself part of the problem), learned nothing from the struggles over the Agent Orange issue that plagued veterans and the VA after the Vietnam War. I don't think there's any actual malice involved, more combination of ignorance, ineptitude, and inertia (Spoiler: I'm a retired Fed. In my department we used to call that attitude the "penguin salute," a combination of shrugged shoulders and the flapping of stubby wings, indicating "It's not my job."). Somebody with sufficient clout to make the various departments take heed needs to shake the collars of the department heads and tell them to make it happen. Yes, it's complicated, but no, it's not that hard to do. The Agent Orange issue is no longer an issue. We are no longer "Waiting for an Army to Die." The same approach needs to be taken with AHI. In the not-so-long run it will be better for all concerned: less aggravation, less heartbreak, and less expense. And even more important, it will help us to keep people doing those difficult and important jobs, and to keep them and their eventual successors motivated. They don't grow on trees. It takes lots of years and lots of money to develop talented people into productive assets. Let's compensate and heal the ones we still have.
