Everyone who is really close to me knows two things about me.
First, if “Little House on the Prairie” trivia was a sport, I’d be world champion — and I’m even better when it comes to the Royal family.
At first glance, you might think I wouldn’t be able to tell an earl for a duke or a viscount, but you’d be wrong. In fact, when Oprah interviewed Harry and Meghan, I served as my family’s real-life Royal expert, offering instant commentary, explaining to them how Meghan didn’t understand the protocols.
A new Royal portrait of the King has just been unveiled. It is causing quite a reaction. Everyone has an opinion, which is usually a sign that the art hit the mark, but that won’t be fully recognized or accepted until later.
Personally, I love it. What do you think?
I’m also grateful that Trump doesn’t have a uniform — at least not yet.
This past week’s commentaries
I hope your weekend has gotten off to a great start. If you need to catch up on this past week’s news, here is some of what we covered at The Warning:
Wow -I have never seen a painting painted with a Rhubarb Pie before! Impressive! Memorable!
I'm absolutely for it. Damn the strictures of historical portraiture. This is a welcome departure and I like it-much. And lest we forget; you can't stop progress.
