There were thousands of people who attended the rally today, some of whom might have visited Aurora for the first time, who were able to see firsthand the mischaracterizations of our great community. I am disappointed that the former president did not get to experience more of our city for himself.
I cannot overstate enough that nothing was said today that has not been said before and for which the city has not responded with facts. Again, the reality is that the concerns about Venezuelan gang activity in our city — and our state — have been grossly exaggerated and have unfairly hurt the city's identity and sense of safety. The city and state have not been 'taken over' or 'invaded' or 'occupied' by migrant gangs. The incidents that have occurred in Aurora, a city of 400,000 people, have been limited to a handful of specific apartment complexes, and our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns and will continue to do so.

Companies will be intimidated the way Deloitte was this week by Donald Trump Jr. No threats will have to me made after the first example is made. Doing business in Trump’s America will be dependent on staying in his good graces and within that of MAGA. The American free enterprise system will be snuffed out by MAGA’s version of crony capitalism on steroids.
People who speak out against Trump will be harassed, fired, accused, investigated, audited and prosecuted. Dissent will not be tolerated.
A darkness is coming should Trump win, and everyone should know exactly what to call it.
What Trump is calling for is fascism. It is. It must be called by its name. It must be confronted.
This is Kamala Harris’ last test in the campaign. She must be able to communicate what it is that must be defeated clearly and directly. She must name the threat and rally the American people against it. A great evil is beating down on America.
I have seen this coming for a very long time. I have written about it extensively and have often been accused by critics of being hyperbolic, inflammatory, and someone who exaggerates the MAGA threat. My response to the criticism comes without rancor or anger, but I’m right and they are wrong.

Should Donald Trump be elected president again, America will be transformed. The best result posssible is that 20 years from now we will be wrestling with the consequences.
America has a singular chance to avoid a tremendous disaster.

I can not imagine how America can even consider anyone like a Donald Trump as viable for public office. The Republican Party has enabled and promoted this creature. He is A modern day Hitler. A racist, a xenophobe, a misogynist, an anti-Semite, a psychopath, a convicted felon, a man of zero morals, values or intelligence. He makes the USA look crazed on the international stage. He is ignorant and crude. A complicit media has allowed him the free space to spout his lies and depravity.
Everyone MUST VOTE to stop his madness. If not, the outcome will take the country to its knees. Kamala must call him out… media must too. A two-fer is required! NOW!
James Carville said that instead of having Harris answering questions, she needs to start asking people questions. I can think of a few. Are the jackboots the people you want in charge? Are concentration camps acceptable to you? Are you okay with losing everything you have?
