We cannot look away
PLUS: Check out this must-have ugly sweater for the holiday season
After a long day of travel, I scrolled through my emails, and came to this one from
:Have pedophiles ruined the workplace?
Of course, the title is a reference to the recently published idiocy titled “Did Liberal Feminism Ruin the Workplace?,” written by The New York Times’ weirdo Russ Douthat, who amazingly had time for the exploration, given his recent deep dive with Peter Thiel about the Anti-Christ. Long story short, Greta Thunberg is the frontrunner.
Anyways, have pedophiles wrecked the workplace?
It is a stunning question — not because it is outlandish — but rather because it stops people cold.
Think about it.
For me, I think about two institutions that were very important to me, which were obliterated by the cancer of pedophilia and the subsequent cover-ups: the Boy Scouts and the Catholic Church. Though the church survives, I do hope it thrives. I have the deepest affection and admiration for the faith of so many priests, nuns and laypeople, as well as Pope Leo. That said, mine did not survive, knowing the details of what the man who confirmed me — Theodore McCarrick — did.
What we are witnessing in this precise moment in the United States of America is a remarkable rot that is as visible as the sun on a bright blue sky day. The rot is blinding, and it is spreading in plain sight faster than can be noticed, addressed, or even seen.
By now, everybody has read the depraved comments of the fascist Megyn Kelly, which sought to downplay the rape of 15-year-old girls.
Tara Palmeri offered this exquisite rebuttal to her depravity:
The sickness is boundless.
Have you followed the latest information about Matt Gaetz, detailed by the reporting of The New York Times’ preeminent investigative reporter Michael Schmidt?
Gaetz was a member of Congress when he turned a vulnerable 17-year-old, who worked at a fast food restaurant, into his prostitute with a dose of ecstasy and $400, which she used to pay for her braces.
Think about everybody working on “The Matt Gaetz Show.”
No problem, right?
I’m going to share something with you today from a writer who became involved in the Lincoln Project during 2020, and with whom I had a few conversations.
His name is Dr.
, and he may be the best writer on Substack. He has 3,300 subscribers, and I can’t think of one thing I could do today that would be better for The Warning audience than to expose you to him and make you think about what he wrote today.I know this is true: what is coming cannot be stopped, only reckoned with. We cannot look away — even though it is blinding to look at.
This will help you appreciate what happens next.

How is it possible that people like Steve Schmidt, Daniel Barkhoff, Tara Palmeri and those of us posting on this site are of the same species and living at the same time as people like Trump, Megyn Kelly, and Steven Miller and all the other awful MAGATS and their supporters? It puzzles me that people can be so different and see things so differently.
I was in grade school in the first half of the 70’s. I remember being warned by my parents and teachers… Don’t talk to strangers…. Don’t take candy from strangers… little girls (and boys) disappearing on their way home from school. It was frightening. I read Dr. Barkhuff often. I read his post. I understand the dread he felt. My heart aches for all victims. Megyn Kelly is a disgrace as a woman AND a mother. I hope their dad is looking out for his children while their mom prostitutes her dignity to a potential child rapist. Tara is a warrior in this search for the truth.
