Trump's lawlessness
The overnight attack on Venezuela and the successful capture of President Nicolás Maduro, an indicted narco trafficker, who had a $50 million dollar bounty placed on him by the Biden administration, will no doubt be cheered and celebrated on Fox News as if Trump led the mission.
Soon, the pictures of Maduro with a hood over his head will start to leak out, and over the course of the day, the foam will build at the edges of many MAGA mouths and spew from many swollen lips.

It will be a hideous sight.
Bari Weiss took command of the CBS newsroom with these words, “Let’s do the f*#king news,” which she intends to help curate with a ten-city private jet tour, alongside the former hair model Tony Dokoupil, and her heavily armed security platoon. It is a preposterous display of a very specific type of power and narcissism to relaunch the “CBS Evening News.”
It is a farce.
The military attack however, is not. It is a harbinger of chaos.
What precisely would the American response be if Russian forces attempted to kidnap President Zelenskyy, whom the Russians call a “terrorist,” just like Kristi Noem calls priests protesting outside American concentration camps?
What will the American response be when China invades Taiwan?
What will the NATO response be when American forces parachute into the Nuuk Airport in Greenland?
The American media loves the shock and awe of American bombs like Jeffrey Epstein loved the Mar-a-Lago massages that he received by the bevy of young women trafficked to him from Trump’s club.
Does anybody think Trump will be asked a question about how many casualties the United States military sustained in Afghanistan?
What about Iraq?
Killed?
Wounded?
How many Americans carry the pain of post-traumatic stress and deep moral injury?
For the record, might anyone ask Trump how long those wars lasted?
Wars are easy to start — especially by Americans. Our problem as a nation is bringing them to an end.
Just yesterday, Donald Trump said this about Iran:
How many military strikes does the MAGA Führer plan for 2026?
There has been no debate in the Congress — let alone across the nation — about war in Venezuela.
There is no congressional authorization and very dubious legal authority for these strikes.
The professionalism and competence of the US military should not be confused with Trump’s team of amateurs and misfits, starting with Trump, but including Little Marco and Pete Hegseth, who, according to The New York Times, did this before meeting with Ukraine’s defense minister Rustem Umerov:
Beforehand, according to an American official present, Mr. Hegseth dabbed his nose with powder from a small compact. “Look commanding,” he told one aide. The handshake with the Ukrainian might be shown on Fox; the president might be watching.
Champagne Pete probably has at least two compacts in his pocket today.
Donald Trump isn’t smart enough to comprehend the difference between real life and video games.
What we are watching is a reality show.
Donald Trump wagged the dog, as they say, and changed the subject from his failures and insanity, his illness and the Epstein files for a day or so, but what he has purchased is more chaos around the world.
Trump is a lawless man building a lawless world, while tearing down the pillars of the structures that preserved humanity during the nuclear age for 80 long years.
The capture of Nicolás Maduro was audacious, but was it wise?
The answer won’t be revealed through Trump’s bluster, or that of Little Marco or Champagne Pete.
Time will reveal what was purchased in Caracas on January 3, 2026.
Perhaps the bill will be paid in Taiwan.
One thing seems clear to me.
Donald Trump likes the killing. It seems that he’s developing an appetite for it and the adventurism that his friend Vladimir finds so appealing.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has dared to speak out against Trump’s lawlessness. He described Washington’s actions as an “assault on the sovereignty” of Latin America, and said they would result in a humanitarian crisis
Is he next?
What about Denmark’s royal family or its prime minister?
What about Canada’s Mark Carney?
Who knows?
Apparently it’s all up to Trump.
He decides.
Heil Trump!
Heil MAGA!
Heil victory!

What has just happened here is undeniably an international crime of the highest order. The felon in charge of the US military has turned its members into disgraceful international criminals using them to murder and to steal the natural resources of less powerful nations.
Putin and Xi may now feel vindication and encouragement. The US has destroyed the long-established rule of law.
