Trump's flotation device: more hot air
Donald Trump’s Iran speech is one for the time capsule. It is a perfect synthesis of his reckless and lawless presidency — wretched from top to bottom, corrupt, dishonest and incompetent beyond measure.
Though the mask slipped long ago it is still remarkable to hear American fascism spoken in the open, from the White House, in a Queens accent.
Americans have become numb after a dozen years to the filth and immorality of Trump’s rhetoric.
Last night, he said that US forces will keep hitting Iran “extremely hard over the next two or three weeks,” and bring the country “back to the Stone Ages.”
Think about that for a second.
Yesterday, the United States of America sent four astronauts to the moon on the most powerful rocket ever built, and the president was talking about reducing an ancient people to the Stone Age. The hubris mixed with stupidity is stupefying and plainly evil.
Evil.
David Rothkopf of The Daily Beast and “Need to Know” on Substack, wrote a brilliant synthesis of the substance of Donald’s war speech that was seen around the world:
If you comb the stockyards of Chicago and search all the cattlelands of America’s great prairies, if you go from the hillsides on which attentive Japanese farmers cultivate Wagyu beef to the ranches of Argentina’s famed gauchos, you will find less bulls--t than uttered by President Donald J. Trump in 18 minutes and 39 seconds on Wednesday night.
The U.S. president, looking addled and unsure of himself, unleashed a torrent of lies, untruths, misrepresentations, deceptions, and distilled nuggets of crapola so vast that it may well live up to the most Trumpian of descriptive phrases: “Nobody has ever seen anything like it before.”
Compounding the fact that he managed to speak for almost 20 minutes without uttering nearly a single truth was the equally mind-numbing reality that, despite the White House having advertised his national TV appearance as a major address on the Iran war, nothing newsworthy crossed his thin, ever-so-lightly glossed lips.
His address was not so much a speech as it was a greatest hits compilation from his Truth Social account since the beginning of the current war in Iran, known to those who know as Operation Epic Fiasco.
Brilliant.
Here was Pastor Paula leading a laying of hands on Trump in the Oval Office yesterday:
Here is Pastor Paula speaking to the MAGA masses (sorry, it never gets old):
Do you see the link between Pastor Paula, Trump’s speech and Rothkopf’s critique?
Surrounded by grifters and weirdos of supernatural abilities Trump is flattered from morning to night, and massaged like a Japanese Wagyu cow.
Trump does have his amazing qualities. For instance, he is simultaneously in absolute control of his MAGA terrarium, but simultaneously a hostage of his malignant narcissism and other disorders. He is like a hermit crab who is king of his terrarium, but the living host for all the little creatures and parasites with which he shares the space.
Trump can never be told “no,” and can’t comprehend the meaning of the word, but he can be easily flattered, and more easily manipulated.
Donald lives in a world where nothing has ever been, or can ever be, his fault. When things go wrong it is never Donald who has failed.
How then to explain the 30% approval rating?
Whose fault is that?
Long story short, it’s not Donald.
In the end, it will be Noem or Bondi or Hegseth or whoever just so long as it isn’t Donald who can’t fail. Like Pastor Paula said, he’s just like Jesus.
The advice Trump is getting from his sycophants is simultaneously insane, self-serving and absolutely glorious.
Trump who may be the most bubble-wrapped adult in world history has been told all he has to do is talk to get out of trouble. It seems he has fallen for the old political saw about the root of the problem being how the story is being told, as opposed to what is being done.
Since Donald is perfect, Christ-like even, and brilliant, plus loved and respected like no other, how can it be that his war has not excited the people?
How could it be they have not rallied to it?
The answer is the same for every GOP/MAGA candidate running ahead of the great blue tsunami of 2026.
The issue can’t be Donald’s inherent unpopularity from his ceaseless idiocy, but rather a lack of Donald telling the truth over the lies of the “fake media.”
Thus the answer to Donald’s problems is always the same.
More Donald.
He truly believes he can talk himself out of every situation.
Donald is running out of runway.
He has started a war, and he is losing that war.
He can’t talk his way out, through, around, over or under the most famous broken promise in American history.
The die is cast, and Trump is out of energy, words and options.
The catastrophe many of us warned about is coming more sharply into focus. The details of where and when are starting to fill in.
Donald Trump gave a speech last night, and it was exactly as David Rothkopf said it was.
But it was also something more.
It was the beginning of a new season.
Trump has lost control over the events that he has precipitated, and his only flotation device is more air.
More Trump hot air.
It isn’t working.
It can’t work.
People are seeing more clearly, and never more so than when they go to the gas pump.
Trump’s war is just beginning.
He’s cornered himself.
Now all he has is words.
Words, and more words.
When you think about it, Trump really never stops talking, does he?
It’s the perfect advice, and it’s always ready to be reformed in the Trump White House.
“Just talk more, sir.”
“Just keep talking.”

Maybe I’m grasping at straws but I take solace in the fact that the Russian asset traitor only spoke for twenty minutes. I believe the felon pedophile murderer is being propped up with drugs to keep him semi-coherent like a real life Weekend at Donnie’s. Am I being too optimistic? He usually rants and babbles for at least an hour
These so-called "Christians" MISSED the part of - "Beware of False Idols" and now not only worship one but have become one themselves!
