Full circle for the voters who voted for this.

My uncle, as a Third Army soldier, arrived with other soldiers, to the gates of Hell, also known as Buchenwald. The arrival time was 3:15 PM and the clock at the entrance to Buchenwald is permanently at 3:15 PM in recognition of them. Voters today, many of them, don’t care about this, but my family does.

A radio transmission made by a prisoner of Buchenwald is part of the story to the rescue made.

To the Allies. To the army of General Patton. This is the Buchenwald concentration camp. SOS. We request help. They want to evacuate us. The SS wants to destroy us.

The headquarters of the U.S. Third Army responded:

Hold out. Rushing to your aid.

Now Trump has a plan on how to deal with those he deems undesirable. He is piggybacking on the prisons of Nayib Bukele in El Salvador. He is offshoring his lawlessness. Trump is already snatching and disappearing people. He is holding hands with this head of prisoners state of El Salvador in the same spot he and Vance humiliated Zelenskyy.

I have read much about the Holocaust and WWII. I have always wondered how this could have happened; it was always unfathomable to me. Now I am beginning to understand.

No one should doubt the cruel intent and unconstitutionality of the Trumpian nightmare we are enduring. If Congress will not fulfill its responsibility to remove this poisonous evil man from the presidency, the people will have to wake up to what confronts us and DO SOMETHING:

"Lawyers challenging the incarceration in El Salvador of more than 200 Venezuelans deported by the U.S. said the Salvadoran government is denying the prisoners access to attorneys and contact with the outside world.

Under an agreement with the Salvadoran government, President Donald Trump’s administration in March sent 238 Venezuelans to its Terrorism Confinement Center, the largest prison in Latin America, as part of a crackdown on immigration.

The lawyers said they have not been able to visit, speak to or learn about the whereabouts and conditions of their clients, whose identities they have gleaned through leaked information. "https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/lawyers-say-el-salvador-blocks-access-detained-venezuelans-2025-04-15/

Let's be clear about this: Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about this country, or the "suckers" and "losers" who live in it. He is about two things and two things only: money—thus the gold sneakers, Bibles, bit coins, guitars, watches, trading cards, and ad infinitum—and a pathological need to be the center of attention.

The problem with REMAINING the center of attention every day—as is true with every reality-TV show, which is what Trump is running—is that you have to come up with new and more outrageous "shtick" every day, else people soon lose interest.

Thus, closing the Dept. of Education one day; firing everybody at NOAA the next; shutting down the U. S. A. I. D. program the day after that; arresting grad students on American streets; closing Social Security offices; and ad infinitum, leading to the current "outrage" that the corporate media is slavering over: sending American citizens to concentration camps, either here or in El Salvador or in ???

The problem—and it's only a slight one—is that we are NOT living in a reality-TV show, where you can "get away with murder"—which hypes up the ratings—since it's only a show. Rather, we are living in a NATION—or at least we were, until the Grifter-in-Chief, the Showrunner-in-Chief, used the oldest trick in the book—Divide and Conquer—to get us fighting each other, while he picked all of our pockets, and is about to leave us morally, financially, and constitutionally bankrupt.

The solution?

There is none, as long as the inmates are allowed to keep running the asylum (yes, I'm looking at you Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Kristi Noem. Tom Homan, and ad infinitum, as well as every single Republican Senator and Congressman.)

As a young student in Catholic school, I was taught that Satan was the presence of evil who roams freely, takes on various forms, but whose intentions and deeds are always pure evil. That embodiment of evil lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave on our dime, salivating and rubbing his hands together at the prospect of deporting American citizens to the gulags of El Salvador at whim. We must defeat him and what he stands for. And thank you, Harvard, for taking a big step to that end.

Heard something tonight on MSNBC about Rutgers faculty working on an alliance with the Big Ten Schools to support each other to defend against what Trump is doing to higher ed. I read The Chronicle of Higher Education and learned that “The two Rutgers professors who wrote the original resolution compare the concept to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, whose member countries offer one another military and political protection in a collective-defense arrangement. The resolution at Rutgers, which the University Senate passed in late March, proposes that the Big Ten’s member institutions form a similar coalition, pooling money in a shared defense fund. “The preservation of one institution’s integrity is the concern of all, and an infringement against one member university of the Big Ten shall be considered an infringement against all,” reads the Rutgers resolution, which Nebraska’s and Indiana’s senates also adopted.” A small bit of hope that the leaders of universities, law firms, corporations etc will finally stand up before there is noting left to stand up for.

The Trump regime's plan to send American citizens convicted of certain crimes, which would soon include disloyalty to Trump and protests against his policies, to El Salvadoran goolags in violation of due process and 8th amendment prohibition of cruel and unusual punishments is unconstitutional and clearly another step toward an authoritarian regime.

Republicans must begin to "tell like it is" and impeach, try, and covict this evil man who insists he can run for a 3rd term, although that is also unconstitutional. Most Americans are fed up and want this political nightmare to end.

When this is over, and it will be over at some point, the payback will begin and there will be hell to pay, every single one of them without exception will be held to account. When Trump came down the golden escalator i heard George Wallace, I remembered my Grandfather’s absolute anger about what Wallace was saying.

When Trump had his rally at Madison Square Gardens I heard Nazi’s speak the language was abhorrent and at that moment that if these people got power that we as a. Country would experience horrors that at the time I could not allow myself to imagine. I had friends tell me that oh he just talks rough it is no big deal.

Yesterday when I turned on the news I watched the conference Trump was having with the El Salvadoran President. I listened as they both said Mr. Garcia was never getting out, then Trump talked about building more camps like that in El Salvador that he may want to send “home grown people t down there.” This is how the horror of the death camps started!!!!

We cannot allow this to happen! This is not who we are as Americans!! The press has to stop normalizing this now!! This is a five alarm fire that is getting out of control!

I think someone should organize a stay at home day .. It might be too soon but at some point maybe the country will do this. Of course emergency services will have to operate but everything else can just stop. The powers that be, not Trump, but the congress and the billionaires may get the message.

When I saw them on TV yesterday I was cursing and crying and thinking about leaving the country. But leaving Florida for a couple of weeks has helped me. I am in NYC right now and I saw two plays that lifted my spirits ..Good Night and Good Luck.. One of the lines in the play "I feel like all the normal people got on a plane for Europe and we were left behind." The audience went crazy clapping .. I also saw BOOP .. It is the quintessential NY story.. I left the theater feeling happy to be with my fellow New Yorkers.

I hope, I don't have to leave our beautiful country. If they start coming for "Homegrowns" and the courts and the congress do nothing I may leave, because you can be sure that any of his "enemies" can be deported to El Salvador. Miles Taylor and anyone else he hates can be whisked away. We need to do something ...Sorry for the bad grammar but I'm dyslexic and tired.

It is quite the fall isn't it?

There have been many administrations both dem and repub in the past that have tried to bend the law their way. Many have come close to scratching the guard rails. None have really broken those guard rails and drove our democracy in the ditch. Close, but no cigar.

Except for this one.

The GOP that I remember back in the day would have never even nominated an asshat like the orange buffoon. Sure, they would have tried to cut taxes and reduce the size of govt. With a scalpel not a bulldozer. And, it would been thought out and planned. Not like the on again off again policy action we see daily. However, the one thing that they did obey after a court or law ruling is…… “ OK, got it. We will follow that to the letter. “

That’s not happening with this admin. They just don’t effing care. The law? A ruling? LMFAO! We will do as we please.

I don’t think that the orange buffoon will “ doge “ the Justice system. In fact I think he will actually protect and defend it. For himself and his well being of course. This is classic fascist / dictatorship 101.

All of the Nazi’s actions in the Reich were all legal. They were legal in a Nazi court that was beholden to what ever the dear leader wanted / said. The same will hold true here if it is not stopped. “ Homegrowns “ ? Sure, let’s legally define what that is so when we deport them we can say “ Hey, we’re just following the law “ The orange buffoon even said, “ We’re looking at the law on that. “ Meaning we’re going to change it to benefit us and eff you up.

Like most democracies and republics that fail we will not sink like the Titanic ( quickly ) but more like the Andrea Doria ( slowly ).

Husarian's accusation is absolutely true and verifiable:

"Bondi asserted that two immigration courts---who are under Justice Department purview---found that Abrego Garcia was a member of MS-1.... The allegation is based on a confidential informant's claim in 2019 that Abrego Garcia was a member of a chapter in New York, WHERE HE HAS NEVER LIVED." Emphasis is mine:

"El Salvador, Trump advisers say US man won't return," The Daily Gazette (Schenectady NY) 4/15/25, p. A6

Lying to deport or jail whomever they wish is obviously a tool of an authoritarian regime.

There will be a time for articles of impeachment in the near future, but right now, the deaf ears of a power-hungry Republican controlled government, offer no hope of success.

This is not a time to rely on remedies of the courts, as we've witnessed rulings being ignored and even mocked.

There is only one possible saviour for the democratic society of America. Only the collective power of the people, raising its fist in rebellion and revolution, can alter the descent into tyranny.

Amazing how Miller can be so indignant when it was Miller who caged infants and children away from their parents during the first Trump horror administration. He also oversaw the ripping away of children from their parents, some of which STILL have not been reunited. Perhaps Miller should reflect on the history of the Jews in Europe during the Wehrmacht. That would seem fitting, especially this week of Passover, the holiest week on the Jewish calendar. But, fear not. Miller is just plain evil, a pernicious sadist whose own family has disowned him (based on reports). A resemblance to Joseph Goebbels seems fitting.
