Can it be, "No One Cares"? Look at what has occurred in America, let alone the world in just the past week. A wedding befitting a Roman Emperor, a return to probably television prominence that can be titled "Chrisley Knows A Sucker", politicians lining up to sell off America's heritage so that a few will have their own kingdoms established with fences, armed guards, and the like to keep "the average Joe" off what was once public lands, a "Big Beautiful Bill" coming to fruition passed by Republicans who have the wealthiest Americans as their primary constituents because this is what Donald Trump has sold as being inportant, a Democratic Party so corrupt in itself that it appears what matters is keeping the ruling status quo even at the expense of never winnig another election, and between the two continually paying homage to AIPAC to keep those big donations flowing even as Gaza is being ransacked and thousands of Palestians are being slaughtered led by one of the three most immoral, unethical, evil men in the world. Yet, not a peep including media because of either money or fear, so to answer the question; "No One Cares" is sadly actually the answer.
This moment is without precedent, and that Trump’s assault on democracy is so serious that all our work must be directed not toward winning the 2026 election, but making sure there is a free, fair election in 2026. I decided to fight Trump’s corruption; I believe all our efforts need political opposition on mass! Since January 20th, Donald Trump has been on a mission to convert our democracy to a quasi-autocracy. He began endorsing political violence on his behalf (a key element of would-be autocrats) by pardoning all of the January 6 rioters. He then began to use the justice system to harass his political opponents and give get-out-of-jail cards to his loyalists. He began to target law firms that protected citizens against his corruption. He is trying to shut down protest and free speech on college campuses, where anti-Trump sentiment is the hottest. He's bullying journalists and media companies trying to suppress unfavorable coverage of him and his thievery. Trump has begun to use the White House as a blunt instrument to enrich himself and his MAGA allies, often illegally. $5 million for 1-on-1 meetings with the president. A meme coin for tech billionaires, Russian oligarchs, and Chinese CEOs to purchase in exchange for favors from the White House. A bill to rip health care away from 30 million Americans in order to fund a tax cut for billionaires. It’s hard to keep up of the corruption by his design. The Trump administration wants to intimidate us into submission. People are waking up to the threat to our democracy and the non-stop corruption and what can we do? I launched a nationwide mobilization against Trump's authoritarian tactics, thievery, and rampant corruption. Trump wants us to feel powerless, saving our democracy will require the mass mobilization of millions.
