All committed to ending the fascist regime destroying our country and threatening nuclear annihilation must put all other political differences aside until our national nightmare ends. If we disagree with the strategies of others opposed to American fascism, let's attack those strategies not the individuals as opposed to MAGA as we are. For example, if we think the government should be shut down indefinitely by refusing to approve a MAGA budget, argue for that strategy, but do not attack and blame our nightmare on those who think an indefinite shutdown would cause prolonged suffering and a possible reaction by the Trump regime that would plunge us into an agonizing and violent civil war.
When this is over, progressives and genuine conservatives will need to learn again how to work together, compromising to achieve the best solutions to the problems we and the rest of the world face.
I agree wholeheartedly, Anthony. Only a big-tent approach--that is, a grand alliance of all who oppose MAGA, no matter their past political affiliation or strategies for dealing with the threat--will afford us the chance to build the mass mobilization movement needed to defeat the fascist regime. If we are fragmented, the anti-Trump opposition movement will remain small, feckless, as was the case in Hitler's Germany . . . and I don't even want to think about the consequences for us.
