Chaos is the theme across the board.

Seems like the goal is confusion and enough to numb people.

An interesting quote from a letter to the editor of my local paper in response to a previous letter to the editor calling on people to support Trump as a way to unite the nation:

"He (Trump) came on the scene Day 1 insulting and belittling people, lying, slandering, blaming, bullying, manipulating and exploiting their fears for his own gain.

And now his foul ranting and persecutions. This is not conducive to unity or team building. I long for days when all parties respected each other and collaborated for the common good.

Trump deliberately sets people against each other. I have never seen such behavior in a president before, nor this kind of malevolence. Trump has no integrity whatsoever.

And this is not even to enumerate his lawless power grabbing and policies that hurt so many people while benefiting himself and his rich buddies.

He is a disgrace to the memory of our country's founders."

What a week! Thank you for being able to keep up with it all and to make sense of what’s happening. I’m not sure it’s going to slow down; I hope we can last until the November reckoning.

DO NOT MISS THIS DOCUMENTARY

Hi all

I was going through the MSN news feed and came across a documentary called Cover Up that got a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating....since that is highly unusual my wife and I watched it on Netflix and it's not only powerfully done but is so germane about what we are going through now

The film covers the story of Pulitzer prize winning investigative journalist Seymour “Sy” Hersh and his uncovering military(MyLai massacre), government(Watergate), and corporate corruption(Paramount fraud) secrets that power doesn’t want in public discourse WE the People need “truth tellers” these days that will be willing to expose Cheeto regime’s corruption Although this happens to be more out in the open with its brazenness, there is more to be told For example, who is responsible for fhe murders of 100+ people in boats? How much money is being paid for pardons? How much money is Big Oil paying the Nazi Republicans to force Venezuela to surrender?

And here's a followup discussion on YouTube(bit.ly/4aA2ikl) that is an appropriate discussion about the past America and the current state that the country is in

Excellent week, Steve. And Happy New Year. I just joined as a paid member this week. As we look forward to remove the atrocious pile of criminals in power, I suggest the following:

1) Upon acquiring the power of both chambers of the Legislative body (hopefully) a year from now, appoint an outsider Democrat as the Speaker of the House. The Constitution does not specify that the Speaker must be a member of the House. I'd suggest someone like Gavin Newsom.

2) Get rid of the Senate's filibuster rule of needing 60 votes to bring a bill to the floor. Then, impeachments, convictions, and removal from office can commence. Once DJT becomes citizen DJT let the process begin with his removal simultaneously with the removal of the VPOTUS from office and move the Speaker into the role of POTUS. I suggest Newsom because he is someone with leadership properties and he can get re-elected. He's not every Democrat's cup of tea, but the first rule in politics is WIN, and then you can work out differences within the party. Otherwise, it's just a circular firing squad.

3) Expand the SCOTUS by adding six new Justices, thus gelding the power of the corrupt justices. It will be easier to outnumber them than to remove them.

4) The new, improved SCOTUS can then overturn numerous previously crooked decisions that were designed to guide our republic to a dictatorship at the hands of Putin's Agent Orange.

Much must be done in passing multiple bills to correct the damage wielded by DJT, but it's a start.

I'm interested in your thoughts on such a combination of strategy and tactics to restore our country to "normal" ASAP? I suggest such a "radical" plan because I fear that waiting until the 2028 elections may be WAY too far into the future. Hell. I'm worried that next November may not be in time, but it is the best we can do. What do you think?
