I saw that Joe Biden apparently has regrets about withdrawing and believes he could have beaten Trump. I found myself offended by this — it disrespects Kamala Harris and the effort she made to win. Sayonara Joe. I’m tired.

No one should be surprised about Trump choosing to side with the oligarchs on the H-1B visa issue. He has been consistently inconsistent on the issue. According to an AP article (The Daily Gazette, 12/29, p. A3) he has said, "I've always liked visas I have always been in favor of visas." However, he has also, according to the article, criticized H-1B visas "calling them 'very bad' and 'unfair' for U.S. workers." He has also said, "I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I've been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It's a great program."

Now, facing the oligarchs, people like Vivek and Elon on one side, and the longer standing Magats on the other, people like Bannon, Trump has chosen to side with the oligarchs. Obviously, because it is in his interests to do so.

And this was Elon Musks response to his critics:

"Take a big step back and FUCK YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.” – Elon Musk, after days of warring against prominent MAGA personalities, some of whom have had their X accounts suspended or demonetized for criticizing him.

Elon, a member of the pro-family Maga cult who believes in unfettered free speech. HAHAHAHAHA!

I wonder if Elon was always such a racist, entitled prick or if he's gotten worse since his rise to wealth and prominence. I think it's both. I'm rooting for ketamine to improve the world.

I actually think he, like Trump, Giuliani, Lindell, Flynn, Jones, Stone et. al. are suffering from mental illness.

Frightening quotes from an AP article in today's Daily Gazette (12/29, p. A9):

"2024 was a brutal year for the Amazon rain forest, with rampant wildfires and extreme drought ravaging large parts of a biome that's a critical counterweight to climate change."

"....authorities suspecting some fires were set to more easily clear land to run cattle."*

"...governments have historically viewed it (Amazon rainforest) as an area to be exploited, with little regard for sustainability or the rights of the Indigenous peoples."

This is a great example of the "feed-back loop" exacerbating climate change. As the rainforests recede, they can not remove as much CO2, more CO2 in the atmosphere heats the planet up, causing more droughts and wildfires etc.

How shortsighted, selfish, cruel, and stupid can people be? The answer: The bottom will be reached when no more humans are left to ravage themselves and the planet, a greedy feeding frenzy that makes sharks look like puppies.

It is all so profoundly sad and depressing; that for a temporary taste sensation people will commit all sorts of atrocities against nature, other species, and ultimately, their children and themselves.
