The madness on the Mall
PLUS: Details on the Save America Movement 24-hour Epstein filibuster that begins TODAY at 12 pm ET
The greatest political idea in the history of the world wasn’t the divine right of kings. It wasn’t empire. It wasn’t conquest, bloodline or tribe.
It was the revolutionary declaration that no church would rule the state, and no state would rule the conscience of free people.
The American republic was founded on that idea.
The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is the cornerstone of human liberty. It’s the shield that protects the freedom to worship, the freedom not to worship, the freedom to dissent, the freedom to speak, the freedom to publish, and the freedom to think.
Without it, there’s no America.
Without it, there’s only coercion.
What happened on the National Mall yesterday — a day-long prayer rally billed as a “rededication of our country as One Nation under God” — was a constitutional abomination wrapped in layers of blasphemy and demagoguery. It was grotesque. It was appalling. It was profoundly un-American.
The imagery, the spectacle, the fusion of political idolatry with religious symbolism, the manipulation of faith for power — all of it represented a direct assault on the founding principle that made the United States exceptional among nations.
The framers understood something elemental about human history: when political power merges with religious fanaticism, liberty dies.
It died in the wars of Europe.
It died in the Inquisition.
It died in the witch trials.
It died in the blood-soaked tyrannies that taught mankind the necessity of separating church from state.
America’s founders broke the cycle.
MAGA seeks to restore it.
MAGA is the Confederacy reborn for a new century. It’s the fulfillment of the sinister promise that “the South will rise again.” Not as a geographic entity alone, but as a political theology rooted in grievance, hierarchy, mythology, racial resentment and authoritarianism.
It’s a movement that despises pluralism because pluralism requires equality.
It despises democracy because democracy places the rights of the individual above the state’s jackboot.
It despises the Constitution because the Constitution restrains power.
Donald Trump stands at the center of this movement as both its avatar and its victim.
There’s something terrible happening in plain sight.
His behavior is becoming increasingly unhinged and deranged. The Truth Social posts accumulate like fragments from a collapsing mind.
Here he is fantasizing about nuclear weapons and apocalyptic imagery, sitting before a nuclear button like some caricature of omnipotence:
Here he is posting a map of the Middle East draped in the American flag, as if entire civilizations are pieces on a game board existing for his emotional gratification and rage:
Every day there’s new evidence of spiraling megalomania, incoherence, paranoia, delusion and madness.
Trump is decomposing before the world’s eyes.
History offers grim warnings about what happens when unstable leaders are surrounded by frightened sycophants incapable of restraint.
In the final years of Stalin’s rule, terror consumed the Soviet state because nobody around him dared contradict his delusions.
Mao’s madness during the Cultural Revolution destroyed tens of millions of lives because cowardice replaced truth inside the ruling circle.
Hitler’s bunker became a sealed chamber of fantasy, lies and catastrophic military delusion because every serious voice had long since been purged, silenced or intimidated.
The pattern is ancient.
The tyrant deteriorates.
The circle tightens.
Reality disappears.
Cowardice flourishes.
And then nations bleed.
The cowardice surrounding Trump is among the most dangerous aspects of this crisis.
Every Republican leader knows what they’re seeing.
Every cabinet official sees it.
Every senator sees it.
Every donor sees it.
Every media executive who sanitizes this insanity sees it.
Yet they continue.
They smile.
They applaud.
They rationalize.
They obey.
There’s no courage in the Republican Party anymore. There are only collaborators, opportunists and frightened careerists kneeling before a disintegrating man consumed by vengeance, ego and bloodlust.
Trump is growing more dangerous because he’s becoming more desperate.
The rage is deepening.
The incoherence is accelerating.
The appetite for destruction is expanding.
There’s something bloodthirsty emerging from the spectacle now — a craving for punishment, domination and violence that is unmistakable.
History teaches that democracies don’t usually die all at once. They erode piece by piece, while exhausted people convince themselves that the spectacle can’t possibly become catastrophe — but it can.
The danger facing the United States isn’t theoretical anymore. It’s visible. It’s gathering force. It’s wrapped in flags, crosses, propaganda and rage.
The republic won’t survive through denial.
It will survive only if enough Americans summon the courage that so many Republican leaders have abandoned.
The Constitution isn’t self-executing.
Liberty isn’t permanent.
The bloodstained lessons of history are screaming a warning at the American people once again.
Tune into the Save America Movement’s 24-hour live reading of the Epstein files
Beginning today at noon, The Save America Movement is officially joining forces with the Institute for Primary Facts to launch “Cover to Cover-Up” — an Epstein Files Filibuster.
We’re staging a 24-hour, uninterrupted live reading directly from the unsealed Jeffrey Epstein files. We’re bringing much-needed attention to counteract the media’s silence.
The event will be anchored by Eliza Orlins, and joined by a coalition of American citizens who actually stand with victims instead of running from them, including including Sophia Bush, Aaron Parnas, Ellie Leonard, Tara Palmeri, Joyce Vance, George Conway, and many more.
The 24-hour livestream will actively raise money for two incredible organizations doing the real work on the ground: RAINN and World Without Exploitation (WWE).
We’re streaming uninterrupted for 24 hours on the Save America Movement Substack and YouTube channel.
We’ll also be streaming it here on The Warning Substack and YouTube channel.
Watch and share the stream here: epsteinfilibuster.com.

I often wonder when the change occurred. When did Republicans lose their spines, ethics, and moral bearings? When did maintaining even the most feeble grasp on power supersede any sense of obligation to their oaths to support and defend the Constitution? It this dangerous hour, I hear NOTHING from former President Bush, Nikki Haley, Bill Barr, Mitt Romney and Chris Christie. I realize that the supine members of congress are either on the take or willing to corrupt the election process to save their position and privilege, but what of these others?
In my darkest and most depressed moments I fear that it’s already too late to save our country…
