The late Christopher Hitchens observed a recurrent pattern regarding the absolute certainty of the most righteous among us often being the most predictable as well.
He said the following in his memoir Hitch-22:
“Whenever I hear some bigmouth in Washington or the Christian heartland banging on about the evils of sodomy or whatever, I mentally enter his name in my notebook and contentedly set my watch.
Sooner rather than later, he will be discovered down on his weary and well-worn old knees in some dreary motel or latrine.”
Matt Schlapp’s hypocrisy is foundational to his extremism. Like many people who lead double lives, he is fueled by self-hatred.
His entitlement and rapaciousness — like that of Trump — is borne from a profoundly disordered and broken personality.
Politics has become the vessel through which Matt Schlapp has channeled his narcissism, anger and self-loathing.
With a charlatan’s heart, a fanatic’s devotion and a capacity for dishonesty, Matt Schlapp has become a superstar in the global far-right fascist cause that is headed by Hungarian strongman Viktor Orban.
Apparently, Matt Schlapp has been exonerated from the sexual assault allegations by the seditious Mrs. Mark Meadows, vice chair of the board of The American Conservative Union (ACU):
So far as I know, Ginni Thomas and Nick Fuentes haven’t yet weighed in.
Matt Schlapp is the leader of America’s 21st century Bund. The allegations against him are a political weapon that should be used to destabilize the corrupt syndicate of fascist organizations he controls with his equally crooked NewsMax/Fox News host/ Trump White House wife Mercedes Schlapp.
I wrote three separate pieces about Schlapp, CPAC and Viktor Orban last summer. They explain who Matt Schlapp really is. That is why his fall must be noted and celebrated.
Without exception, every accusation the members of the American Taliban hurl at "the libs" (Groomers! Perverts! Pedos! Frauds! Fascists! Traitors!) is nothing more than a projection of their own depravity and moral bankruptcy.
P.S. Steve, thank you for the Hitchens quotation. His brilliant mind and razor-sharp writing are sorely missed.
Steve Schmidt packs a one-two punch: he is the best writer-orator on the entire American political scene!
