The New York Times has explained that Trump pardoning the January 6 criminals, is Trump pardoning himself.

That is the psychosis.

So, essentially, we have no justice department to stop this corruption. In fact, our justice department is part of the corruption. At 77 years old, I’ve never seen anything like this in my lifetime. Unbelievable!!

Marc Panaye's avatar

Oh but you have a justice department. Problem is that it only serves the interests of one individual.

Corruption on this scale is destroying our solvency even if the immorality doesn’t bother you.

We have lost our democracy . I need to hear what Steve has to say which expresses my rage with eloquence. The Republican congress has literally betrayed America and and sold us out for money and power. Heartbreaking!!!!

Previously, "The Teapot Dome Scandal" (1922-23), which indirectly involved President Warren G. Harding (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teapot_Dome_scandal), was the biggest in U.S Presidential history. Compared with the Trump Scandals, it was nothing more than a drop of oil.

The orange pig Trump is half-dead and only a moron like him would steadily steal money he can never spend.

Is anyone out there ever going to apologize for voting for the mother fucker???

Elaine Seal's avatar

Don't know who I hate more. Him and his criminal family, the republican Congress for letting him get away with all kinds of shit, or the 77 million morons that voted for him.

Betty Moyers's avatar

Couldn’t agree more!

Elaine Seal's avatar

if you still support Trump, you're either rich or a complete moron.

Betty Moyers's avatar

And deplorable!

77 million beery screw-heads.

Your honesty is needed. The truth of all of it is so brutal to listen to. Don’t we all feel like fools just sitting here watching this go by.

I am hoping that we will have great patriotic candidates running in the mid-terms. Someone who has the courage to surround him or herself with even greater people who will have the courage to tell them when they are wrong. We cannot have the same breed as Schumer or Jeffries we need new blood to fight the good fight. Trump has spent his entire time in office making his family richer and stroking his ego. All that time when he could have been making America stronger and done the work of the people as he should have. I am hanging on to hope that we can save our country.

I don’t think I’ll pay taxes anymore. 🤪

Anthony j. Santo's avatar

I would gladly stop paying taxes if there were an organized movement with enough people agreeing to stop withholding federal taxes to cripple the government.

Amy's avatar

Can we just discuss the fact that bc of Trump, America is bankrupt! He’ll further this by stealing from American taxpayers 10bl dollars!! Why aren’t we angrier?

Impeach Bessent

Lack of accountability guarantees a continuation of bad behavior. At this point Trump revels in his blatant corruption, done with impunity.

“Wooden headedness, the source of self-deception, is a factor that plays a remarkably large role in government. It consists in assessing a situation in terms of preconceived fixed notions while ignoring or rejecting any contrary signs. It is acting according to wish while not allowing oneself to be deflected by the facts.”

Anthony j. Santo's avatar

That quote is similar to something I have always felt about religious fanatics, be they Christian, Muslim, or Jewish; they believe whatever they want to believe regardless of how contrary to fact and reason their beliefs are. That is why unscrupulous politicians like Trump can play them so easily.

WE The People Demand More Of The Democratic Party

I don’t know about you but I get an incessant flow of emails daily about campaign contributions from Democrats running for office While it worked for Obama 18yy ago they’re beating a dead horse now because it’s difficult to know where the D’s stand on anything except “fund my campaign because I’m a Democrat”

While the Republican party may have been purged of anyone who isn't a fascist, look at the cover-up currently going on in New Mexico regarding Zorro Ranch and you will realize that some Democrats are also fascists. Be sure to vote in the primaries, and be sure to vote for the Democrat who's not in it for personal power and wealth.

Both parties have severe problems It's just the R's are in this case worse and their corruption is more visible The Democratic party has as many problems and it's time that it undergo a restructuring The anger from the talking Congressional heads in the media is not enough The D's need to be held accountable to WE the People No $$$ just because they have a D next to their name WE need to hear what their positions are on: expand SCOTUS, complete restructuring of voting laws, restructuring of DHS and elimination of ICE, meaningful immigration reform, national abortion access, stop funding Israeli military budget, demand campaign contribution reform, insisting on a wealth tax going after the oligarchic class WE the People demand more of our elected D representatives

As the primary season is getting under way Indivisible is getting behind specific candidates who aren't taking AIPAC or PAC $$$ and are supported by a supermajority(>80%) of Iocal Indivisible members examples Brad Ladner and Analillia Meija(NY) Julie Gonzales(Co) for Senate Jasmine Clark(Ga) Ross, Hill, Fox, and Little(Mn) and Flanagan(Mn) for Senate Randy Villegas(Ca) Peters(IL) Graham Platner(Me) for Senate Justin Pearson(Tn)

As horrific as this situation is & breaks my heart....if/when the D(umb)emocrats regain power, the party will do NOTHING to repair the enormous damage or prosecute the gargantuan corruption. 'Let's look forward and not back, there's so much to repair' they will cry. I guarantee it!
