Rick Scott is a United States senator from Florida, and the current Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the campaign arm for Senate Republicans. Scott is worth hundreds of millions of dollars from his tenure as the CEO of Columbia/HCA, which became the nation's largest private for-profit health care company. He resigned after the company was charged and convicted of massive Medicare fraud. He has embraced a shockingly radical economic agenda, where he has called for Social Security to be re-approved every five years.
He appeared on national television yesterday in multiple interviews during which he was asked directly about comments made by the former President of the United States of America. Trump made a violent threat against the senior senator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, who serves as minority leader of the US Senate. Additionally, he was asked directly about the former president’s attacks on the senator’s wife, Elaine Chao. Chao has served as a cabinet secretary in two Republican administrations. Chao was called “Coco Chow” by Trump, who abused her with racial invective in front of an angry crowd of cheering political extremists.
Rick Scott appeared wearing a blue baseball hat emblazoned with the word NAVY. Specifically, it was referring to the United States Navy, which was founded on October 13, 1775, as the Continental Navy. It is the most powerful naval force in world history and steeped in tradition. Its core values are honor, commitment and courage.
