Where are her colleagues, her fellow judges? These outrages need to be met swiftly and with absolute clarity. It is not possible to abstain when autocratic creep is all around us. To abstain is to be complicit. We all need to get comfortable with saying--shouting!--"No" as many times as it takes and with as much volume as we can muster.

The next question is whether this judge will be disappeared to a prison in El Salvador as having aided and abetted a terrorist. Stay tuned.

So sad… perhaps the supremes would rise to stop this desecration of the rule of law against a judge…. Shameful

Ps I’ve been in the streets and will keep that up, and am planning to be on site wherever needed, esp in the run up to Nov 2026 as well as beforehand too. I’ve been a lawyer since 1985 and I Never thought I’d see this happen in our own country… we will not be a banana republic any longer.

This is a brilliant and highly relevant "CALL to ARMS" in the form of PROTESTS. AS a new resident to the state of Wisconsin I invite all who care about their personal freedom to heed this call.

Bowing Deeply in your direction, Steve

Steve S. -- Not sure exactly what will shake the American complacency, that we are NOT too strong and big a democracy to fail, but past warnings aside, if arresting a judge by the FBI and isn't a sign of the weaponization of that organization into a arm of an authoritarian/fascist leader (just like Hilter did with his SS), than I don't know what will. You are now a key Paul Revere of which we will need hundreds/thousands/millions (each in their own community) before we lose the very soul of America -- time for the megaphones in the streets? Thanks Steve.

Once again the MAGA party was projecting when talking about the DOJ and FBI being weaponized. It was not the past administration who did that but it is this one, for sure. We cannot just sit back and ignore everything. Everyone should be outraged but, of course, those supporters only see what they are allowed to see and think things are just as FOX news and the other coherts tell them they are.

Jesse Wacht's avatar

Agree -- the real elephant in the room is that 30+ million people have been brainwashed with FOX being the primary vehicle -- by very talented script writers and in front of the camera hosts that are even more talented that Russian state media. Reprogramming these people is an immense task -- even harder than breaking out a captured person in a physical cult (do think that saving them is important!).

The take down or exposure of the Fox Fake News Russian Propaganda catch n kill Machine should be high on the list of priorities. There needs to be more pushback on the rights media. Protests every day outside the Fox Fake News headquarters may bring some needed attention to their dirty deeds in the name of greed and power.

Beautiful powerful comment, thank you. Totally agree. Vive la resistance!

Steve’s word “lassitude” of the American people was spot on. Time to wake up and stay awake!

Thank you for sharing the info about Hitler--despite being a 60-something American I never knew he, too, was a felon, imprisoned no less, before becoming the monster leader of the nazi facist movement in Germany leading to all its murders and ultimately a world war.

Best antidote to despair is to take action, even something small. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself immobilizing us. Strength in numbers!!!

trump lost too many battles this week and he looks weak. So he needs a win. At a judge’s expense. An American’s expense.

So true, well connected understanding, thank you! To keep the fear going, stirring up the chaos, the outrage, deflection and distraction and destruction.

Trump's reaction to his buddy Vladimir's massive attack on Kyiv this week says all you need to know about our "American Caesar's" character.

"I didn't like last night. I wasn't happy with it," Trump said. What stands out in this little man's mind is the effect of Putin's attack on HIM. That is what is important. Will he finally come to understand that Putin regards him as a punk?

Then, there is this:

TIME MAGAZINE: “You said you would end the war in Ukraine on Day One.”

TRUMP: “Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point. And you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news [unintelligible]. Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended.”

This self-centered asshole finds humor in joking about ending the war in Ukraine? He went on to say the war would have never happened if he were in office at the time Russia invaded. Something impossible to prove or disprove. Is that supposed to be funny also? Or, is he admitting he would have supported Putin’s demands and Ukraine would have been peacefully annexed and brought under Russian control?

The peopleTrump selects for high office, including the evil Kash Patel, are a reflection of their fuhrer’s character and temperament.

The BBC did a piece of reporting in which they questioned our Orange buffoon POTUS about what he is doing about Russia’s continued bombing of Ukraine.

The discourse went something like this:

BBC : Mr President can you tell us what you are doing to force Russia to stop bombing Ukraine?

Orange Buffoon We are putting pressure on Russia. A lot of pressure.

BBC : Mr President can you tell us what actions these are?

Orange Buffoon : Pressure. All kinds of pressure. You wouldn’t believe the pressure we are putting on Russia.

BBC : What specifically are you doing to pressure them? What actions?

Orange Buffoon : No one has put more pressure on Russia than I have. It’s unbelievable how much pressure I have put on Russia. So much pressure.

I’m not 100% sure here but I think the BBC reporter feels that they are talking to a three year old spoiled child ( I know you are but what am I? ) who needs a time out and a nap.

Meanwhile, back in Moscow, Putin spills his vodka after laughing his arse off after seeing Trump’s questioning from the BBC. Putin then says, “ Worth every penny we paid our trolls to get this dotard elected. His is our best useful idiot. "

Yea, he apparently also stated in that interview (done on Tuesday and hitting the streets today) point blank that, "Ukraine is not getting Crimea back." So, and this has been said nonstop and ad nauseum, to end the bloodshed, Russia simply needs to withdraw from its illegal invasion of a sovereign country. FFS, tfg siding with Russia is not surprising, but it is despicable.

We, the people, must take what belongs to us only: the power over this land and Constitution. We will need to take this to the streets as an effort focused solely on defenestration until the job is done. We have no other choice at this point. We either win or lose this battle. I move for enforcing equitable equality. https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/equitable-equality?r=3m1bs

SCOTUS better not be planning to take off from July to October. The rulings will be crucial. Not a good time for summer vacation.
