Presidential strategy session: campus protests
Media reports depict chaos across America’s elite colleges. There is already planning underway from far-left groups to cause chaos at the Democratic National Convention. This is easier said than done, but imagine that the campus situation remains at this level — or worsens — in September and October. How significant of an issue do you think this is for President Biden’s re-election campaign?
None of this is good for Biden. Obviously, the 1968 protests at the Democratic convention helped fuel Nixon’s presidency, so this could be detrimental to the Biden campaign.
It’s clear that Netanyahu will invade Rafah regardless of any ceasefire deal with Hamas. Netanyahu will do everything he can to help Trump, since it helps himself. And these protests will get worse with every civilian casualty.
That said, I’m hearing the peaceful protests have been infiltrated by professional agitators and anarchists who are hell bent on causing as much chaos as possible.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the protesters at the Democratic convention are manufactured by Roger Stone. It will be Miami-Dade 2000 all over again (Yuppie Brownshirts storming the election office); however, the students willing be wearing a keffiyeh with their Khaki’s.
